This one has too many fwds This one has not enough backs or mids This one is currently seeking goat porn featuring CD staff to rectify the issue should no trades ensue.
For what it is worth: Not Tradeable: Rance, May, Saad, Adams, Carlisle, McDonald-T'wuti, Coniglio, Tyson, Newnes, Lyons, Edwards, Walters, Brown, Hrovat, Nicholls Tradeable: Byrne-Jones, Gleeson, Stratton, Trengove, Barrett, Hill (perhaps), Greenwood (perhaps), Young, Vickery, Maric Have Pick3 and some other picks. Pick 3 is tradeable but it would have to be a bloody good deal for a ruckman or a midfielder. Willing to discuss multiple player/pick trades. Again, willing to discuss bits and pieces, but replies may be delayed as internet access is somewhat limited within business hours right now
lol, this feels so like last year ALL MY GOOD PLAYERS - Off the table ALL MY SHIT TO MEDIOCRE ONES - On the table but expensive. OH and pay overs for picks. ------------------------ Not bailing shit on you Chris (I have posted similar in the past) this is just the post in my face atm, as a league some trade approach adjustments may be necessary otherwise we just abandon trades and stick with delist and draft.... Not that long ago I was asked to part with pick two for a guy about to be delisted, I don't do those drugs. For the record I am also totally over trade approaches that (when distilled to intent) read "hey, that promising/really good talent you have, well he is shit and here is my totally commensurate offer of shit for him". Open to real approaches that result in win/win trades though
Did some quick search/research on a tangential thought after venting and there is no valid means of incentivising trades that I am comfortable with, nor due to human nature is there an objective measure of player worth. So I am getting back in my box, as you were...
See your point Len but still it's worth putting them on the trade table in the chance someone values that player or thinks they may break out. Also makes sense not to want to trade your good players unless someone puts across an offer that you can see will benefit your team, which may come across as asking for overs. But thats just how it is I guess... A first rounder for that player was worth a rant though haha
I hear what you are saying, I do think that putting large sections of teams players off the table though actually proves a disincentive to others to trade with that coach. No-one is overly interested in trading in guys you are looking at delisting, my method before venturing a trade approach is to look for teams where I perceive a weakness that matches my strength and vice versa, this ensures that I should be able to come somewhere near a win/win trade. But if the players I would consider desirable within my squad are specifically listed as not available I won't bother. We all have untouchables, me more than most so I do get that aspect as well
Take your point entirely Len. I guess my only explanation for this list is that, in the past, I've bunged all my players on the block and been able to devote quite a bit of time and effort to chatting about relative merits of trades and players and picks ... And quite enjoy it! But right now I am in a place and space where that time has diminished markedly. I dont want to lead people up the garden path or delay them if they put forward something. Really acutely aware that my time to discuss trades in coming weeks is going to be far more limited than previously. Ofcourse, Maric, Trengove and Barrett might well be cut. The others, well, if there's interest, that is cool. But on re reading what I wrote, can see where you are coming from Len.
Oh, and on that note, if someone does wish to have a word about a player who isn't my only functioning ruckman, drop me a line. I will get back in touch, it may take longer, but I will get back in touch.
Keeping that all in mind, here is my current squad for 2017. Looking for Defenders, preferably trading a forward for. Also looking for first and second round picks. Pretty happy with most my team and think I have some top end young talent which will be hard to find a trade for, but if you think you can improve my team then feel free to shoot me a message, no harm done... DEF: Docherty, Pittard, Howe, Talia, Mayes MID: Beams, O'Meara, Watson, Parker, Gaff, Fiorini, Crisp Ruck: Kreuzer, S.Martin FWD: B.Deledio, T.Greene, J.Hogan, S.Higgins, J.Watts, E.Yeo, B.Ah Chee, C.Ah Chee, Blair, J.Murdoch, T.Cloke, S.Crameri
As I said mate was trying to make a point with directing it at you as I know for a fact I've done the same thing in the past, but whilst we have a strong active league with genuine buyin all round our completed trades are dropping and I'm looking for possible causes..
Thought I'd post my current list in case anyone's interested. I'm happy to field offers on most. Anyone interested in a quality defender may want to see me about Houli, otherwise I may be able to help your mid or fwd depth with some guys who get a game every week. Looking for forwards, mids or pick upgrades. Def: Houli, Dea, T McDonald, Hampton, Sheridan, L McDonald, Cutler, Robertson (D/M), Dawson (D/F), Mid: Rischitelli, Ebert, Treloar, Atkins, Lonergan, Hunter, Blakely, Partington Fwd: Mayne, Jetta (M/F), Lloyd, Weller, Green, Taylor, Turner, McKay Ruck: McEvoy, Clarke Current picks: 12, 17, 30, 38, 66, 84
My final 24 players. With all the retirements, I don't actually need to do anything so I am pretty happy to stand pat, but humour me with offers if you want. I'm actually a bit bored at the moment... Def: H.Shaw, B.Vince (M), S.Biggs, J.Kelly, A. Francis (F), M.Johnson, S.Wright, J.Frawley Mid: P.Dangerfield, J.Selwood, T. Liberatore, S.Ross, J.Ziebell, B.Cunnington, B.Stanton Ruck: S. Time to lay out the Hoppers squad for all to see & consider trades/arguments/laughter DEF: HGrundy, JKolo, Weitering, SCollins, EHughes, Scharenberg,CMills, TAdams D/M, JMartin D/F MID: Aish, Rocky, Neale, Cripps, ECurnow, O'Rourke, Freeman, Dumont FWD: Stringer, Billings F/M,CCameron, ELangdon F/M, Boekhorst F/M, Cockatoo, Brayshaw F/M, MCox RCK: BGrundy, Witts Delisted: Jono Marsh Draft Picks: 5 - 23 - 41 - 59 - 77
Thanks to those coaches who have gotten in touch with some offers. At the moment I haven't been sold on them - though the offers themselves haven't been bad ones. So, a slight change in focus which, perhaps, might see some movement. I need a midfielder or a ruckman, or a high draft pick with which to choose one (alongside Pick 3). I'm willing to discuss a trade involving ANY of my backs or forwards not named Rance, Walters or Edwards. I'm also willing to offer my pick in the 40s, and my first round pick in the 2017 MSD, if required. In return, a first round draft pick. If someone wishes to pony up a first round draft pick, make an offer for a player. There are plenty of young forwards and backs on offer who have plenty of improvement left in them. Or, in Steven May's case (87 ppg average for a 24yo, by the way), an opportunity to actually play 22 games without walloping someone. Tradeable are: DEF: May (87ppg), Adams (80), Saad (70), AMT (72), Carlisle (D/F), plus the previously mentioned Byrne-Jones, Gleeson and Stratton. FWDS: Brown (76ppg) Young (78), Carlisle (D/F), Hill (M/F 65), Greenwood (M/F 72), Hrovat (M/F 69), Vickery (57). Note Hrovat, Hill and Vickery are all at new clubs where they are almost certain to improve their averages noticeably and/or play more games. MPP types will carry a small premium in price, especially those who are M/F types. Last thing - if you're after one of these players and wish to make an offer of a midfielder, go for it. I'll consider it.
No doubt you have seen these guys before (or even owned them for that matter). Everyone is on the table. Def – GIBSON, BAGULEY, DURYEA, HAYNES, J SMITH, SCHOFIELD Mid – PRIDDIS, LEWIS, S MITCHELL, GODDARD, WELLS, S SELWOOD, SUBAN, W LANGFORD, TOUMPAS, BUGG Ruck – GOLDSTEIN Fwd – TT LYNCH, J HILL, TABERNER, BROOMHEAD, McCARTHY, PHILLIPS (f/m), L WELLER Looking for draft picks or young mids.
