The proviso will be stated to that effect. I still think that if you don't play, you don't score, so we have to keep it at that - but it looks like I'm very-much in the minority!
Champion Data’s top 10 general forwards: 1. Cyril Rioli (Hawthorn) 2. Toby Greene (GWS Giants) 3. Eddie Betts (Adelaide) 4. Brett Deledio (GWS Giants) 5. Tom Lynch (Adelaide) 6. Luke Breust (Hawthorn) 7. Daniel Menzel (Geelong) 8. Chad Wingard (Port Adelaide) 9. Jake Stringer (Western Bulldogs) 10. Devon Smith (GWS Giants) Interesting note that @eagle_eyed has 3 of the top 10
I'd prefer no special rule; just use the squad we have at our disposal. I don't think averages are necessarily fair as they really depend on who they've played against at that stage of the season. If Port have had an easy run then their players may be averaging higher. The same goes for the time of the season with players more likely to average higher in the first half when they're fresher. Will go with the herd on this one though.
with the lack of quality DPP'S, i would not be surprised if cyril made it in top ten scorers for the season
I vote option 1 It seems the fairest both for this season and the future. It's probably the easiest to implement and simplest way to keep a consistent rule with future similar fixture changes
