Just thought I would try and get some ORFFL chat going if anyone is interested. After the surprise success of the TLP in 2016 it's now time to look forward to 2017. It will be strange not having an early pick in the draft, although I guess that is a good thing. The DPP changes have been posted in various threads around the place, someone with more skills than me may be able to add them in here. Overall for the Pigs probably not a bad result, although Rory Lobb losing his Ruck status is a major blow to my planned Ryder/Lobb ruck combo. I now have a stacked forward line however with Isaac Smith (M), Yeo (M) and Lobb joining Hogan, Stringer and Patton. Accordingly I have some fringe forwards available if anyone is interested (Bruce, Kersten, Green).
We should probably do a role call to see who's back from going bush. @walesy @3n4nsy @Bearfly @Jason @thokash @stripey @Lucas @Kel @bgt2110 @LiQuiD_SiXx @Tino @Iain @Doobs @Johnson @Gumby @Fez @EddieV I haven't opened up a spreadsheet in anger in months, unlikely to until Feb so may need someone else to do that this year.
Suppose someone has to prop up the bottom end of the ladder again in 2017. Any suggestions for pick 1? No, it isn't for trade.
Oh, didn't see this thread last night so I just deleted my one and will repost here. Queenstown back in business and looking to trade. Quolls have S Mitchell, S Thompson (ADE), Bell, Morris, Dixon, J Sinclair, Mzungu, Currie, Giles and Maric available for trade. Would like defenders, high draft picks and rucks in that order.
My sporting teams all have a habit of winning games no-one expects them to, and then losing right at the last possible moment just when the odds start going in their favour.
After a disappointing festive season, and a very busy past week with the Tunarama Festival which finished last night, I'm back in the swing of things and reporting for duty - bring on the bloody footy, it's been waaaaaaay too long
I'd imagine it's pre-season trading period right now. And assume we wait for the man with a plan to check in for dates when drafting starts. 2016 ORFFL Premiers© Popanyinning would like to announce most of the list is open and available to trade. Headlining those on the trade table are 2016 first round selections Charlie Curnow and Ben Keays (both fwds). Both are extremely talented young guns with skills coming out their gills and set for breakout years. Looking for players of similar value a few years older and playing regularly to help with title defence and/or combinations of draft picks, whatever yada yada. Please note all enquirers must listen to the 15-minute long rendition of the team song (including yodelling solo) before an operator will take your call. Thanks.
I would like to ask what you would want for Lobbe, but I don't think I will like the answer. And yodelling really is horrible. @3n4nsy probably doesn't delve into the forums, it's front page article or nothing for him.
