Whack your auction items in here...

4(e) An “Auction thread” will be posted during the trade periods prior to drafts. Coaches may post a player or players or draft pick or picks or any combination of these as a package to auction in this thread. All players or picks to be auctioned should be listed with a closing day/time, and they cannot be withdrawn before that time. No player or pick being auctioned should be the subject of private trade negotiations nor used as part of a bid in another auction, until the auction of that player or pick has reached it's conclusion/closing time, with or without a sale. The initial posting of a reserve is optional and the reserve is not reached on any auction until the seller says so. Once a bid is tabled the bid is live until rejected OR deemed beaten by the person conducting the auction, it cannot be materially altered once tabled. No bid can be conditional on outcomes not directly related to the auction at hand. Once a reserve has been reached the seller has the option to adjust the auction length, but to no less than 48 hours, or the end of the trade period, whichever is the lesser. As soon as practicable after receiving multiple bids on an auction the seller should indicate whom is in front, any reasoning is optional. If reserve has been met, the winning bid must result in a trade, which is final and irreversible unless vetoed as per 4(f) or via a subsequent mutually agreed trade between the parties (which would also be subject to a veto period).

    AUCTION

With a few teams light on in the ruck dept, though I'd throw this guy out there for coaches after some depth.

    Matthew Leuenberger - 28yrs - Ruck
    Avg 69SC from 20 games in 2016.

Wasn't feeding the best midfield last year and didn't have much support.
Will line up as R1 early on and will get some support when TBC gets fit.

After a PSD draft pick, preferably inside top 50.

Auction ends Fri 10th Feb @ 10pm AEST

    AUCTION

    Mitch Wallis - 24yrs - Mid/Fwd
    Avg 87SC from 17 games in 2016.

Preference is two draft picks, prefer PSD but will entertain high MSD selections as well.

Auction ends Fri 10th Feb @ 9pm AEST

    Come on home Mitch!

If I'm reading your draft picks correctly, I will offer picks 26 & 90 and you should be able to use both of them.

Reserve not met, but not very far off at all. That second pick 90 isn't quite enough for me.

Sorry to bring up old wounds, but was there ever consensus if we can 'negotiate' picks back on forth for an auction on a player?

I'll up it to picks 26 & 74 while we await confirmation on that :)

@thokash reserve met, auction is live

@leematty1 just short due to me valuing PSD a little higher.

In regards to the negotiation I'm not 100% sure we reached a consensus. But my general thought was that in an auction you can't request something back. More than happy to be over ruled if anyone says differently.

As someone who was in favour of "draft picks" back, I think the majority view was that it could open a can of worms from a buyers perspective even if it is potentially beneficial to the seller. As such I won't be bidding that way again or conducting an auction that way unless the Board make a formal ruling otherwise.

In theory I would consider auctioning a player plus a middle/late pick if I see myself getting better bids than just auctioning the player, but I won't get a sense of this until the auction is underway. If I understand the rules correctly then the item can't be changed but I can cease the auction if reserve has not been met, then commence a fresh auction of different but similar goods, it just risks putting bidders off (as would negoti-auctions).

    Hi there,

It would be remiss of me not to put up this offer which I had offered previous to the auction being posted.

Heard Is. offer PSD pick 54 and our 1st round MSD pick

I don't check my messages for one night and chaos breaks out!

@anthak had a very nice bid but was beaten slightly by the @leematty1 offer which is the new leader for Wallis.
