Gents Apologies but I'm not going to get to preparing a season preview this year. If it's any consolation the Smugglers are certs for the flag so it would have been dull reading anyways.
Amped that the season is about to begin; deflated that I have 16 players available (how does that happen with a list of 28, didn't even draft a lot of rookies) and two of them aren't guaranteed a spot in their side's best 22! Figure I'm going to limp to the byes then hopefully come home strong; I guess I'll find out soon enough!!!
Pumped for the season as well! I've felt your pain before (regularly) and can sympathise, but boy, is it nice to be finally making some selection decisions! Usually players who are actually playing get a walk up start, but maybe not this year! Now watch 10 Grenades be picked for round 1
It's been a lean few years for the Crocs but we're hoping 2017 sees improvement in plenty of the youngsters. Hampton and Jones have had solid preseasons and the list management team have high expectations for Martin, JDG, Blacres and Boyd. Surely last year's effort of 1 win and building on that isn't too high of a pass mark to set for the team this year.
Sorry for my lack of activity over the last month - took 4.5 weeks holidays and did the best I could to stay away from a computer for most of it. I'm now back, and back at work, so I have all the time in the world to play on TS and SC in general. Hugely looking forward to the new season - hoping that summer recruiting has been kind to the Prospectors, the mighty Eagles, and maybe even to my SC team (yeah, that's likely!!!) Good luck to everyone. Have fun. And remember to go easy on the commish when your team meets his during the season
I think it's pretty open this year with Groote, Ararat, Nuytsland, Pearcedale, Christmas Island & King Island all good enough on their day to win it. No doubt someone I didn't mention will take it out now. It's going to be an interesting season.
If all of those teams make the finals that leaves 12 teams fighting it out for 2 spots; it's going to be tough.
Scratch that; I've had a look at the teams and there's definitely more than 6 good ones. Should be a good season.
i reckon Crocs and Grenades will be the big improvers. No idea who will win. Not the Armadillos though, ill put that out there... Also, as an aside (possibly a Choppers-esque rant ) if people want more activity and banter then stop effin using nicknames or acronyms... i apologise i dont know what a scottish suitcase is or who the eff JDY but just because you (generalisation, noone specific) and your three mates have pet names for footy players doesnt mean the majority understand you. End of rant - how did i do @choppers
@insider Didn't do too bad there. I was actually thinking the same thing but have made a conscious decision to tone it down a bit this year so kept my mouth shut..... disclaimer: it is only early in the season though......
