Ha yeah my bad. Unfortunately Gawn tried to activate the winged keel and did his hammy. Spud efforts from Tyson and Prestia have Noahs on 1022/12 (85) vs Shags 812/9 (90). Banking on big games from Ross and NRoo to get us back in the hunt.
Ducks 1071/13 losing to 29ers 789/9. Bulldogs game could be the decider with Picken getting KO'd for just 30. Bont was his normal overscored self (definitely not sour) with 133 Going to need a vintage Ablett performance and Mitch Robinson doing anything of note. 29ers still have "Shins" Barlow, Poppy, and their entire backline to come.
Why always me? Another nailbiter in process. Ducks 1153/14 + Ablett vs 29ers 1095/13 + Barlow + Puopolo
I reckon you the visitors are up by around 35 and heavily favoured to prevail with a quarter to play mate, the 29ers really need Puopolo to get thrown on ball or to go nuts in junk time to keep it tight
If I've done this right, I've come away with the win! Dingo Beach Butchers def. Wedge Island White Pointers. 1,333 DBB to 1091 WIW Good game pointers. my ruck change over seemed to get the biscuits this week! (this is just my personal addition from FanFooty)
Boozers stay undefeated winning against the atoms 1194-1126. Low scoring scrappy affair. Need to lift for next weeks big challenge.
Dammit, the swim almost did it, but NRoo is too tough to worry about any injuries or oceans etc. 6 points! What a game. Congrats grav
WOW! Gotta be dirty Ant. Was following those last few games with interest. Was banking on a big game from St Nick. He brought Fort Knox! 12 weeks for Gawn will sting... cheers
Useless Loop Virgins (ULV) 1,258 def Macquarie Island Whales (MIW) 1,142 In a low scoring affair at Salt Pond Park the visitors might have caught salt damp on the voyage over. Leuenberger and Sandilands battled it out in the big man’s stakes with the later getting the job done…just. For both teams the engine rooms worked the centre bounces and corridors with speed and tenacity however Griffen received a nasty ankle injury early in the first term and was one of the major differences between the two sides. Up forward both teams struggled to get any momentum during the day, with Johnson and Josh J. Kennedy been out maneuverer by Montagna the shrewd operator that he is and nearly lifted his team to get closer to the prize. Higgins for the Wales was well held by Biggs all day and with just 15 possessions and no goals Caddy was a massive disappointment for the visitors. Off the interchange, Mundy showed us and young Kerridge what he was made of as he racked up touch after touch. The kid didn’t get a look in at all, he was blind-sided. It wasn’t pretty however the Virgin’s got there in the end. There’s still plenty of work to be done to gain some consistency and for the Wales they’ve had a harsh road trip to start the season in a reality check for new coach @Darran. BOG awards 3 Leigh Montagna (164) - MIW 2 David Mundy (143) - ULV 1 Steele Sidebottom (112) - ULV
Preuss as backup may get you through some of the 6 rounds prior to the MSD and then the Beard should be back shortly after.
It was a successful week for the away teams as Neptune Island (@That KI Guy) held on for a 6 point win away to Heard Island (@anthak) and Rutherglen (@tyze1), Jan Juc (@thokash), MtThirsty (@leematty1) and Port Lincoln (@MrsBear) also got away wins by double digits over Drouin (@stowie), Black Swamp, Maralinga (@Brett Sanders) and Mole Creek (@ViQBoZ) by 22, 23, 68 and 69 respectively. The Glow-Worms ruck donut due to the late withdrawal of Majak Daw was particularly costly, while the LTI to the Noahs Gawn has the reigning premiers dependent on Preuss to step up and continue his fine form for the kangas. Useless Loop (@YAD69) and Dingo Beach (@Dale Duivesteyn) coasted to the 2 home town wins over Macquarie Island and Wedge Island and by 116 and 142 respectively, the latter being a club record highest ever win for the Butchers in their final match before the mooted move to Nangkita and re-branding as the Bucks. In the weeks final clash Cockburn (@Len) scored a 163 point win over Walpole (@port_leschenault) to move ahead of them on the ladder and settle nicely in the 4 team pack at 2-1 trailing the Virgins, Boozers and Noahs who remain undefeated. In the ORFF* knockout comp the Whales, White Pointers and Heard Island lost to sides who are also coached by ORFFF coaches - Staghorn Flat (Tyze1), Marble Bar and Ivanhoe (both @Len). Rutherglen, Port Lincoln, Useless Loop, Mt Thirsty, Jan Juc and Cockburn moved on to join Drouin, Neptune Island and Black Swamp to leave a 9 team contingent in the Round of 32.
