Ok so the MSD is done and dusted and the pesky byes are over so it's back to the real business of ORFFL and the run to the finals. BUN v IKR - Two teams who didn't have the greatest run pre byes (1-4), both will be looking to re-start their seasons with a first up win. QUE v WOY - Must win for the Quolls to consolidate a top 8 spot. A win to Woy Woy would keep alive their finals hopes and they have proved they can get a winning score. BDB v POP - Pyrite should be too strong for the seemingly leaderless Bandits. Welcome back Max. SAR v HDH - Hammerheads are better than their ladder position indicates and I have no doubt they see this as winnable especially with JJK set to miss again. Agadoo doo doo. TLP v MDB - 2 v 3 on the ladder and clear Bertocchi Match of the Round. The Disappointments have been anything but this year, and appear to have the matchups to cover the Pigs. Expect them to bring home the bacon and keep pace with Mallacoota at the head of the table. Not all doom and gloom for the loser though as they still have a game in hand on the chasing Gunslingers and Savages. COU v MAL - The Magicians 2017 juggernaut to continue...... SBS v GLE - 5 v 7 in the second top 8 battle. The Gunslingers are the 3rd highest scoring side this year and would expect them to have too much firepower against the competitive Seagulls. POO v MIL - Poowong continue to surprise in 2017 and would be looking to further consolidate with a first up victory over the 2nd bottom Milikapati. JIM v WAR - Warburton to take the points in a scrappy affair.
Hoping that this trading period has done the job for the Pointers. Brought in a couple of big names at the cost of a future, so lets hope that this card house can bring home the bacon before it all starts falling down!
Given the Knightriders traded out of today and into tomorrow we expect to be struggling for wins this year
That was a where you stick a " and finals relevant too" comment to stick one in the feels In unrelated segue, it's nice to have 21 players available for a change. Though I don't think it will matter much against a team of 12.
Poowong's two best performed players this year (Ablett and Kelly) both becoming unavailable in the same week hurts a lot.
I'm pretty sure that there is some bacon hidden behind that card up the top there. Just takes a while before he reveals it!
POO v MBD takes on a different look compared to last week. Poowong in: Ablett, Kelly MBD Out: Z Williams.
