Only three of the players in the Devils Round 11 team have been acquired in trades with ORFFA clubs, another former Misfit in Shaun Grigg and former Leftie Tom Lynch. Lee Spurr is an inclusion in defense for the suspended Zak Jones, whilst ruckman Jordan Roughead will play his first ORFFA game of 2017. Tom Boyd is out with a calf injury whilst Liam Shiels is unlucky to be omitted, with Roughy winning a close call for the IC 2 spot.

@graeme , no Shiels will only play if any of the four mids from the provisional Cradle Mountain team are late withdrawals from their AFL game. In the past some ORFFA teams have named one or more of their players as an emergency including sometimes players that are automatic inclusions in their ORFFA team, and then used the emergency loophole to decide whether to include these players in their 15 man team after seeing how they performed in the early game. Shiels is the epitome of a fringe player at the Devils, I didn't select him in the 15 last night, however I don't like the use of the emergency loophole in the ORFFA and wont be utilising it. Sure bringing Shiels and his 109 points in would probably slightly improve my score, however if his inclusion was to be the difference between winning and losing I probably wouldn't deserve to win anyway. Should be a thrilling game between the Cows and Devils, if the Cows win they will have a three game gap on the Devils and will be almost certain to finish higher on the ladder. I expect less than 50 points to separate the two teams at the end of the game, Fyfe and Hall being late outs probably makes the Devils slight favourites.
