The match at Black Swamp sees the 29ers 9/624 trailing the White Pointers @Bearfly 11/791 The home side have Hooker, Bont, De Goey Mayes, Beams and Sheed to run out on Sunday with the visitors having T Adams, Laird and the Greenwood brothers all playing in the 320pm clash and on YTD averages there looks like a close finish to this low scoring game is on the cards.
In the matchup between 2nd and 3rd I have Waplole @port_leschenault 9/747 trailing the visiting Dropbears @stowie 12/970 with ZMerret, Heppell, Daniel, Honeychursch H-Andrews and Yeo to play for the Woylies as they kick with a decent breeze in the final stanza and TexWalker, Shuey and Ryan Lester to follow suit for the Drouin side needing to notch a win to ensure a top 4 spot.
In the matchup at Jan Juc @thokash I have the home side positing 9/886 and the visitors @MrsBear tallying 13/1014. The Ducks have Picken, Rory Atkins, B Grundy, Douglas, Jenkins and Crisp and a score of 1250 plus seems within their reach and that leaves Sauce Jaobs and Mitch McGovern needing huge games to give the Power a sniff of an upset finals shaping victory.
In the match over West in Useless Loop the Virgins @YAD69 are on 9/825 while the Avengers @Len have scored 11/893. The home side have Biggs, Dea, T Phillips, Hurn, Hutchings and JJK to come while Cockburn have L Hunter, Treloar, OOP Luke Brown and WItherden yet to play and Len's mob will need to perform strongly if Maralinga and Heard Island are to remain in the finals hunt.
You've included Wright's score but not counted him as played. We have two extra players on Sunday to make up 223 points. Not impossible but very unlikely. Lucky Lobb was on the bench or definitely all over. Impressive depth over at the land of the mythical tree dwellers. Our chances popped with Blakely's shoulder.
The boozers seem to have the whales at bay, although we do have more than half our team playing in the bombers game today. Boozers 6-557 vs whales 11-800
Sorry fellas - I have rechecked my spready as I didn't remember that Honeychurch was out. Including Wright I have Waplole @port_leschenault 10/825 trailing the visiting Dropbears @stowie 12/970 (given this is different to @port_Leschenualt's counting these are the scores I have used Breust 63, Jones 74, Howe 107, Oliver 170, Blakely 7, Wilson 89, Whitfeld 82, Newnes 73, Witts 82, Wright 78) ZMerret, Heppell, Daniel, H-Andrews and Yeo to play for the Woylies. While Blakely's 7 and McIntosh's 57 oop ruckwork gives Drouin a small advantage in one part of this contest but is swamped by Oliver's 170 putting the Woylies as very slight favourites heading into the final stanza (assuming the above scores are correct).
It was me not adding Wright's score to sum total. Never rush things late at night. Definitely brings it closer but scoreboard pressure etc. See how the Sunday crew stand up
After the 2nd game on Sunday the home side have work to do to overcome a 279 point deficit heading into the final game - 12/850 to 15/1129 - with Mayes, Beams and Sheed needing to turn it on in the 2nd half after reaching 137 combined at half time. For context 1129 (if correct) would be the 9th lowest ever winning score in ORFFF history so this has certainly been one ugly contest up to this point, even if the home side manages to nudge their noses in front by the siren.
Some very rough calcs have the Woylies Yeo and Andrews with a 28 point lead before play against the Dropbears Shuey and Lester, per Fan Footy the equation has both sides dead level (or thereabouts) with a half to play.
