Personally I find it a disrespectful comment, but I guess @graeme and/or I should be grateful he elected to abdicate and allow us the opportunity..

    1481 vs 1459. Mouthwatering Grannie.

May all your outs be little ones.

If Len had to choose between the Giants and the Misfits taking home the chocolates, I wonder which way he would roll?

Lighten up mate. You shouldnt find it disrespectful. Sorry, i definitely dont mean any disrespect. I wasnt taking anything away from you or G, i even clarified that when i wrote it. I have a lot of respect for both you and G. You've both been in awesome (true meaning of that word) form and have built your lists really well, and similarly to each other, youve both got good young lists that have mainly developed internally over a period of years. Hats off to you both. I was just having a bit of a light hearted dig at that ki guy for throwing in the towel the way he did and then commenting on the changing of the guard. I didnt see it a big deal.
Presumably we all knew he wasnt just referring to his own side but i was trying to make a joke of it. There has been a changing of the guard and its great. Even looking at the top 8 this year - 4 or 5 of the 8 positions were made up of teams who havent played much finals at all.

    Yeah this.

And for the record, no manchester was procured in the making of our premierships. Similarly, none were harmed as we slid back into oblivion.

Just back from the beach, should've stayed there :(

ORFFA - Squashed like a bug in the semi, 1459 Vs 1041, by the Cows.
SC ORFFANS - Squashed like a bug in the semi, 2565 Vs 2392, by the Cows
TS Addicts - Grand Final - lose the whole damn thing on points for: 17,863 to me 17,860 - yep, 3 pts !!

Well done @graeme and @Len - its gonna be some Granny boys !!!

As for the Hops, no rebuild needed. 13th to 4th is a good year. But look the f%$# out for 2018 !!!!

As Abraham Lincoln once said, "Cows are sacred in India, not in ORFFA".

Congrats to our grand finalists, and our semi finalists too. Wonderful years all and great to see reward for team building over a period of time.

As per last week, there is no formal reviewer on the books for finals so if someone wants to put their hand up then by all means.
Alternatively, I can pull something together on Thursday.

    2017 Prelim finals review

Waikikamoocow Incorrigibles 1459 def Gundagai Grasshoppers 1041

Trump: So I can just look straight at this Hoppers train wreck without sunglasses right?

    NASA: You know what? Sure.

To be frank, even sNoZ had the white flag up before the first bounce here. The Hoppers have been trudging on admirably but the loss of Neale and Grundy from and already decimated engine room was a blow too uncomfortable to stay vertical for. The Cows smelt blood early and tuned the captive-bolt gun to rapid fire, cleaning up Stringer in the process. Eight tons including a Mitchell highlight reel good enough to torture a Horse, was just what the doctor ordered. Unfortunately, this same doctor has been “treating” Rocky’s shoulder all season, and the chels supplied special sauce has done nothing but pickle the lobster. Still some shiny treats to ogle over at the tuckerbox as Shaz and Angus finally got game and improving form from Neale, Billings, Adams and Mills as the season wore on. A stellar rise from the depths for the Hoppers this year will still have a bitter taste following this prelim slapping.

And the humiliation didn’t stop there as a hostile Incorrigible home crowd gave sNoZ and his mire-soaked rabble a friendly send off with witty barbs like:

“My uncle’s wake was more entertaining than this”

“I hope you put return to sender on The Package”

“Your team is hopeless sNoZ, you couldn’t organise a root in a brothel”.

The irony of this parting jibe was not lost on the Gundagai coach with Cox playing out of position.

Venus Bay Vultures 1299 def by Marble Bar Misfits 1481

“Well that didn’t go as planned”, moaned Fast-ball Fitzy the drug mule from his St Moritz detention cell. “I was promised hi speed wifi in here. What do you call this sh!t?”

“I guess it could be worse, its not like ¾ of my defenders are omitted and I have play my wildcard O’Meara in defense”

Despite the short-staffed Vulture backline, this was a ripping tale. The home side kicked with a strong breeze early in the piece, but by half time an on-shore wind change brought in the orange tsunami to extinguish all hope. Beams and the Doc fought on admirably but the tide was higher than a Blondie revival gig. Len had the Bar cranking on all 12 cylinders with six 115+ tons and a couple of lazy 90’s. Kelly, Ward and Whitfield teamed up with Murph to absolutely smash the Vultures in the middle. Back to the drawing board for the Vultures as Fitzy looks to empty his Swiss bank account to load up on a reliable defense.

And in other news that we don’t have time for cos we have to get our AEC enrolment done…

The Zac Dawson ala Who Cares ala Golden Knob ala Get Stuffed ala Pancake Cup

Charlies Opening Spelunkers 1052 def by Wagga Wagga Wombats 1172

Marsupials overcome in the fight for underground supremacy. Tanks for comin. Bandit, see ya next year.

Lovely Banks Lilacs 1023 def by Whitsunday Warriors 1235

Warriors wipeout the weeping Lilacs in a whitewash. Setting up a GF matchup that would make Elmer tongue-tied.

Top work Jelly Guy, the fruits of your overly active imagination always make for a good read. Good luck to all the finalists, I cannot bring myself to wish ill luck on anyone in ORFFA.
