Yeah, the colour coding helps me to then follow who has which picks once they all start moving around.
Hey all, I've had a few questions regarding trades and figured I'd put this up here rather than typing out a similar response to coaches individually. I'm open to trades, just not until about December. After this weekend I'll be taking a bit of time off thinking about SC and Cow Bay FC related matters. I've had a shitload of some serious and not so serious stuff going on this year (not directly impacting me) and it's meant I've had very little time to myself for the past 4/5 months. I've neglected a few things (like my never ending to do list of stuff to fix around the house) so I'm trying to focus on as little as possible for the next couple of months to get back on top of as much as I can and maybe take a short 1 or 2 week holiday somewhere with the wife to recharge...and for once I want to listen to and watch the trade period and draft without even thinking about updating a spreadsheet or what it means for the Crocs. I'll definitely be around and checking in here often (especially during the workday) to see if there's anything I need to know about or vote on anything that needs voting on. I think it's also time I relinquished my POOYA role and gave someone else a go after taking over it from inaugural POOYA master Tomster. It doesn't take long but geez some weeks I've really struggled to fit it in this year. I'd prefer to post up a few stats every now and then similar to what I did at the start of the year (got a post coming early next week) which I would've loved to have shared with you guys but most of the time the ideas were never started or couldn't be finished so look out for that
didnt yad and i finish next to each other hence the quarter final matchup? i think he's getting dudded a few positions here??
The losers from the first final were Stn Cross (1st) Korumburra (7th) Coolgardie (6th) and Ararat (5th) So draft positions went to 11 Korumburra 12 Coolgardie 13 Ararat 14 Sth Cross Groote Eyelandt (4th)and Nuytsland (2nd)then lost in the next final so it then became 15 Groote Eyelandt 16 Nuytsland. 17 and 18 will be decided by this weekend's result. between Christmas Is and Serengeti. I think I got that right....
See Chop's comment. Basically the top 10 picks are bottom 10 ranked teams in reverse order. Next 4 picks are the 4 losers of the first round finals in reverse order of ladder position. Next two picks are the 2 losers of the second round of the finals in reverse order of ladder positions. Final two picks are the grand finalists, with the premier getting pick 18. So it is feasible that Christmas Island, after finishing the regular season in 8th spot (PSD pick 11) can win the premiership and get PSD pick 18. We voted on this a few years back (please don't make me sift for that vote!!!)
haha! that might be so but my trading skills definitely aren't. I traded in @DamoH 1st round pick when it was Pick 7 and I'll be getting either 17 or 18 now.....
Ditto-ish for me and Serengeti... I have their PSD R1 and PSD R2 picks... great value there! (I can't complain too much though, I have a fair collection of early picks in the upcoming PSD)
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-08-29/ararat-eagles-reserves-the-footy-team-that-never-wins/8853752 I think the issue is caused by @insider and the Armadillos!
spoken like a true 'Araratian': "They're confident next year they'll finally get that win" we're building great things in the town... whether it be the first team Armadillos or the second team Eagles.
Hey all. Just a quick real life update. Last Thursday we had our 2nd child! A little girl called Scout. (I have 2 from my first marriage) so the footy team is coming along nicely. Sorry for any delays in responding etc, life is getting a bit hectic and my computer time is getting pretty slim!
Great news mate. You timed that well - off-season "adjustments" to the family. Hope everyone is healthy and remains that way!
Congrats mate hope all are well!!... with 3 of my own aged 8 and under I understand the term hectic! congrats again
