That's half the reason I suggested it - to balance out the disadvantage of having them during their bye.
if we go best 13, for those teams with gold/power players will they need to keep them on the ground or be able to replacement with another player ?
Ok I see what you mean, lose a round from them during their bye but make it up (albeit best of 3) when the other 16 teams have a bye. Makes even more sense now.
Surely you just field a full side and your best 13 scores on the ground (includes players subbed in for no-shows) is your teams score for the fixture.

So, from today, all teams must remain at 28 players, and picks from the 2018 MSD, 2019 PSD, and 2019 MSD may be traded. Please be very clear which draft and round number the traded pick relates to, otherwise this could get very messy very fast. It's a bugger that delisting and drafting is over for @ddsaints, he's gotta hold him until mid-year unless he can pack him up for someone else.
There will be no changes / compensation / benefit / anything else for the Kurt Tippett case, nor the Zac Williams case, nor any other case of this nature. There have been plenty of examples of coaches who have had players unavailable for whatever reason, and now more than ever (with 28-man squads) it is just a case of "sh!t happens".
Players unavailable for whatever reason??? Pardon?? Sounds dumb. Who was asking for compensation?? It’s a retirement.....not a normal case I’m guessing. It’s happened to me before though. Scotland did it to me also. Great trade that one for me aye @DamoH.......been spewing on it for over a year now.
Can we have a fixed date for pre season drafting next season please? If we had of started drafting at a normal/sensible date I’m guessing this crap wouldn’t happen to me. I’ll suck the puss Let’s have a fixed date for preseason drafting say Australia Day and on it should always start.
