2 ORFF* comps have already held their 2018 preseason drafts

    - 43 Staghorn Flat - Liam Ryan FWD (71)
    - 52 Staghorn Flat - Corey Maynard MID (59)

    - 51 Groote Eylandt - Jack Petruccelle M/F (56)
    - 54 Groote Eylandt - Aidan Corr DEF (undrafted in the 'FA)

    ORFFA (commenced 16 February) http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/2018-orffa-pre-season-draft-thread.90074/

In the 'FA the trio of Len, Anthak and KI Guy picked as follows:-

    Marble Bar - Len
    - 12 Marble Bar Misfits Oscar Allen FWD (picked at 24 in the ORFFU draft)
    - 34 Marble Bar Misfits James Worpel MID (33)
    - 52 Marble Bar Misfits Gryan Miers FWD (75)
    - 55 Marble Bar Misfits Stefan Giro MID (undrafted in the 'FU)

Larrikin Lagoon - That KI Guy
    - 23 Larrikin Lagoon Lefties Joshua Begley FWD (undrafted in the 'FU)
    - 26 Larrikin Lagoon Lefties Darcy Cameron RUC (listed in the 'FU)
    - 29 Larrikin Lagoon Lefties Brayden Ainsworth MID (37)
    - 33 Larrikin Lagoon Lefties Nicholas Shipley MID (undrafted in the' FU)
    - 37 Larrikin Lagoon Lefties Ben Paton DEF (39)
    - 66 Larrikin Lagoon Lefties Jake Patmore MID (undrafted in the "FU)

    Gariwerd - anthak
    - 58 Gariwerd Cockatoos Ryan Griffen MID (listed in the 'FU)
    - 64 Gariwerd Cockatoos Cameron OSHEA DEF (undrafted in the 'FU)
    - 84 Gariwerd Cockatoos Jarrod Garlett M/F (undrafted in the 'FU

KI Guy and Tyze1 have both picked Brayden Ainsworth in their respective earlier drafts and it will be interesting if any of these 5 coaches manage to double up any of their picks in the ORFFF PSD.

as posted earlier in the delistments thread

    ---------

ahead of the PSD please note the following links provide the TS Stats page as at Round 0 for ORFFF Free Agents prior to the draft commencing

    http://tooserious.net/forum/stats.p...gueTeamId=FA&tsLeagueId=14&sort=ave&desc=desc

note you may have to add Thurlow (from the Shags) and the 4 Woylies delisted in the delistments forum and obviously once the draft starts you should be marking off each pick from a predraft copy as teams may not add their players to TS leagues and therefore these lists won't be 100% current

    DEF only - http://tooserious.net/forum/stats.p...gueTeamId=FA&tsLeagueId=14&sort=ave&desc=desc

    MID only - http://tooserious.net/forum/stats.p...gueTeamId=FA&tsLeagueId=14&sort=ave&desc=desc

    FWD only - http://tooserious.net/forum/stats.p...gueTeamId=FA&tsLeagueId=14&sort=ave&desc=desc

    RUCK only - http://tooserious.net/forum/stats.p...gueTeamId=FA&tsLeagueId=14&sort=ave&desc=desc

If you want to see 2017 stats change the year from 2018 to 2017 and Round from 0 to 23 in each of the above links.

For those of you looking at the TS Stats Advanced Fantasy page or CSV downloads all Age data as at Round 23 will be approximately 6 months younger than Age data as at Round 0 and this years draftees won't be included in the 2017 TSstats data. If anyone want's to create and circulate a FREE AGENT spreadsheet of any sort then for everyone's use feel free.

    Cheers TTH

Any guesses on when our draft will be complete. Also my first pick is 30, so guessing maybe sometime on Saturday will be the Boozers chance to enter the draft.

Thanks folks for getting the threads all set up, with all this info too!

Can people start picking immediately, but no time deadlines until the official start time?

Interesting that all of my FA picks were not drafted in the FU draft!
I wonder if that indicates I don’t know what I’m doing haha

Maybe as a guide, in the ORFFA we did 78 picks in about 4 days.

Hey everyone Usain Bolt runs the 100 in under 10 seconds, as a guide others run nowhere near as fast as that.

My 10 cents is that as long as the draft finishes by March 6 we will have 2 weeks to trade at the end of that and before the season starts so keeping an 8 picks a day average in mind if it all wraps up in 7-8 days rather than 3-4 then we have actually drafted at double the necessary speed rather than half of it.

Agreed, 6 - 10 a day is more standard, FA tends to draft at light speed but the last one was quick even for us

Many thanks for getting set up @ViQBoZ and @TheTassieHawk

As always, great stats and analysis TTH.

Yeah I’m happy for the Glowies to kick this off whenever that want, but as alluded, we have plenty of time to smash this out.

I can confirm that Simpkin's agent has been in touch with the 29ers recruitment team asking to be picked up in the PSD and to receive 24/7 mentoring from his big brother figure JDG and player welfare manager and inaugural (1 game and a bloody donut) 29er Dane Swan.

Totally up to you, but as we are all set and no reason not to, @That KI Guy has said good to start early, but no rush, per the quoted bit ;)

We are away! After getting pick 2 last year where there was one clear first choice, it was a tough decision this season, 3-4 players who were considered for pick one.

In the end another half forward for Brisbane joins Mole Creek...

No way, Hayes is a good 3 years at least away from playing - even @Bearfly reckons he's one to avoid at present

Cheers for the heads up @Len, I asked the guys picking before me to text and appreciate that they did.

While the first 7 picks seemed roughly as expected Kelly at 8 threw me as he went at 17 in the ORFFU and 31 in the ORFFA and I had been expecting him to be taken between 12-20 ish.

I think beyond pick 10 is where some players will get plucked a fair bit earlier/later than the other comps so it will be interesting to see how many of my pre-draft list are still available at my next pick (16), especially with 3 of those selections being teams 2nd or 3rd selection in the first round.
