I agree! I was surprised he was still there too. I drafted him in the FA in the 60s but I went with a different tact in this draft.
Ive msged @TheTassieHawk too and thanks for the msg from @That KI Guy which alerted me to it being my pick at 69
Damn it, cox was my last planned pick. Thought after his stinker on the weekend that no one would go near him.
Jan Juc having so many picks makes it hard to predict but I reckon Cox would have appealed to lots of coaches looking for a playing Defender or Forward to round out their list. I certainly expected him to go by now.
All done in the draft! Have to admit, really surprised at a few names still left on the board. Squads of 32?
Well done to all for smashing this out and generally not cutting my lunch too much. Also, a reminder to get into ts Leagues and update your squads.
I understand what you are saying PL although expanding lists would be likely to make the MSD even less of an event than it is now.(excluding any change to require MSD delistments and mandatory participation which I would prefer we stay away from). I still think that 30 players feels like a good number for this comp given the 2 less teams than the other ORFF* comps. If anything lists of less than 30 (maintaining 6 delists) or increasing the number of delists would be my vote if we were forced to change. Having said that a split list Senior (26) plus Rookie (6) list structure might work if well thought out rewarding coaches for picking quality rather than quantity. In my view it would probably be worth opening up or reopening a rules discussion thread for this issue and any others people think might be worth taking a fresh look at, like Future Pick Trading and Priority picks. I would like to layout an idea I have about tweaking PSD pick allocation and expect others might have their own ideas or thought bubbles that could be discussed in the post draft period.
It would be a bit shit come draft time with less players to draft from and strong teams staying strong for a decade. If you have a strong list then good, means better players in the pool for other teams to grab and potential get strong.
