Ok but I'm not 100% sure what the deadline is, I thinks it's only 10:32am so watch out for it or you'll be sorry you Waite-ted.
Would like to flag a point that I suggest needs some debate. TiB and I live in time zones that differ from those on the mainland. (Q: Are WA and Thailand in the same time zone?) While I am sure we would both endeavour to meet deadlines, perhaps some leeway could be built into the system. Neither of us would want to make you Waite, but our circumstanes are a little different. Thoughts.
It's 2 and 4 hours difference respectively, although they are different time zones I would've thought it's sufficiently offset by the fact it turns into an 18 hour window to make a selection regardless of which timezone they are in...
Pretty much agree with you stripey, but note that TiB is +4 hours and I am -2 hours. The impacts are quite different. I am happy to fend for myself. How it impacts Tibby I am not sure. If you are reading this TiB, hope the hospital period goes well. There is something beautifully colonial about travelling up river to a destination.
Ready to go when a decision is made EDIT: I'm happy to wait until noon if you want to give Kel the maximum AM time
Ok, i'm back but not much wiser. Will go with Paul Puopolo to add to my list of crappy forwards selected in this draft. Apologies for the delay and thankyou all for your patience.
I think a little leeway in time per pick can be given from now on, especially where people are outside the Australian time zone. The draft has been great without anyone going missing for large chunks of time. It will be nice to have an ORFFL season where all coaches are invested in the league again. Thanks to the new coaches for stepping up and taking on teams with enthusiasm.
The TiB never sleeps. Last night I was on here to midnight local time, 2 - 3.30am and back again at 7.30. Not an issue for me. Having said that, if there is a flurry of early morning picks Australian time, it can be frustrating waiting for me to appear due to the time difference. This is accentuated in FA with Simonoz who is in NYC and the difference is like 24 hours. But he is keen as mustard (as am I) and has never held us up significantly. And I haven't noticed any flurries. Every draft just requires coaches to make the effort and have consideration for others. I find doing your research, having a list, proxy picks, stating your pick #, player, club and position all go a long way to a happy draft - which in turn maintains the enthusiasm. Some technical glitches for some aside, I find Len's List is a godsend. And thanks @bgt2110 for the welcome - appreciated. Oh, and get stuffed @Bandit.
Off to see a tailot, would be nice if we could trade picks "in draft", I have a draft itch I haven't been able to scratch in days, wont be trading into big pick gaps again
