You think I'd quit after missing out on the title by 3 shitty points? Well maybe but yeh nah......have to stay in to see @Jason go back2back spoons !!!
You can knock, but you can't come in. The odd one dropping out is always a chance to move up the ladder so I will stay in there and fatigue you all out.
Ok lets get this happening. I have a capture of the FA lists, so no one dips there.. Other than that feel free to trade or delist
Cool beans.........um, when can we raid the FA's Lenski ? With Doch being out all year, need to add to my D line. Anyone interested in trading for Shaun Higgins (21@92) in exchange for a Defender ?
Patrick Cripps is up for Trade The SuperSquad needs 2 true stars to fill our D1 and F1 positions if we are any chance of pegging back last years premiers and runner up so let's see who is on offer. Contact me via pm if interested.
Looking at a draft kickoff of Sunday 18th March 7.30pm, we should knock it over in a few days as we will only have 30 picks max to do, any dramas?
2018 TS Addicts underway again - good luck all !!! Reminder to get your teams in - quick scan shows @Tylo and @BigWoof yet to update.
Untouchables have entered rebuild mode. If we should beat your team this year, you should seriously consider entering rebuild mode also.
The ORFF compared to the Addicts strikes me as a bit like comparing a marriage to hit and run sex. In the ORFF you nurture your players, it is a slow build and you are prepared to wait. In this form of the game you have a larger pool to choose from and little need for fringe players. You can dip into that pool throughout the season and have little call to draw on your reserves. This recent draft I went for back-up players in all lines, only to realize I really didn't need to do that. Half my players will be on field, with the other half in reserve, rarely to get a game. The strategy of taking high (2017) draft picks can also be questioned. You won't have room on field for them early and, at their best, there are others sitting in the pool who come close (due to high turnover). So the target is as many guns on field as possible. Players we would kill for in ORFF may simply languish on your bench. So I am not too clear just what constitutes a rebuild in this form of fantasy. For me at least, I don't have the same sense of affinity or ownership with my players in Addicts as I do in ORFF. I have never had a problem with hit and run sex. Or cleavage.
I agree with this for any position other than MID. But the best MID options aren't just sitting in the pool waiting to debut, the draft is needed to nab these guys. My MIDs were pretty terrible and the only way I'm going to improve on them is via the draft.
I checked and if I had put the right players on the field I would have scored 804. Still wouldn't have won, but at least it was the coach's fault and not the squad's fault that we sucked this week.
