Yeah he managed to be in my team by the time the game started so I'm happy, and he is a beast with the contested possessions. The two guys I'll be keeping on eye on next week are Jack Graham and Charlie Curnow.

Thought exactly the same thing and he made me pay for taking him out of the team yesterday. Its the position ive had about half a dozen different players in over the preseason. Hoping to get most of the rookie picks right so one of the correction trades can likely be used on him if he looks as good in the second week. Simpson was incredible as well.

Cripps was a win, Dow not so much but still early and he was on debut in front of 90,000.

Mixed results, but welcome back SC.

Most of yesterday I was thinking I’ve gotta start Cripps, he’s too cheap, but then I got tied up with work and never got an opportunity to sort it out. At the time, I had Rockliff and change, so I planned to do a straight swap. Dammit!
I still ended up swapping Rockliff out, who has been in and out of my team so many times.

Surprisingly Garlett looked pretty good as well last night, not a huge score but good potential.

Had Dusty (VC), Cripps, Simpson & Garlett (benched) last night.

There's all my luck gone in the first game, my team is now doomed for the rest of the season.

Anyone know much about Lachlan Fogarty? Will be playing in the cats team 117.3K forward.

Is mid only in SC. Apparently has great running ability and from memory had good junior SC numbers however may be earmarked for a high pressure small forward role this season due to very good tackling ability (for a youngster) before becoming part of the onball rotation once Gaz retires and Danger/Duckwood age a few more seasons. Kicking myself for punting him 5 minutes before lockout as he is SO much cheaper than the other starting F/Ms. Regarding scoring he most likely won't score 2 goals per week but won't have to average very much SC wise to be a good pick at his price.

Just need him to retain his place in the team really and not do a pickett from last year. I reckon i was stuck with that guy for just about the whole year.

So darcy cameron was not named in the sydney squad then does that make anyone rethink the ryder selection? Ive gone Goldstein as no preuss either not even on the emergency list so i was encouraged by that and will take the punt. I can now use cameron to loophole martins 139 from last night. Whats everyones thoughts on the r3 now? Is it cameron or english? Or someone else i havent thought of?

      Mate, I’m going with Olango.
Would’ve been a tougher decision if Cameron was named cause it’d be handy to have backup occasionally, but I’m worried it’ll be same story as last season for Cameron. Olango is cheapest and west coast have most games at the ends of rounds.

Btw, Daw was named emergency for NMK which poses some threat to Goldi, but it’s probably more of a positive to show Preuss further back in pecking order.
      I have Goldi too

Preuss definitely looked like #2 ruck over pre-season Ant, Daw has been playing at fullback all JLT.

      Strange but true.

Hold on to Coffield or move him on???
Backs Laird Hibberd Mills Doedee Murray Naughton Finlayson. If i get rid of coffield i would have 300k to spend

Difficult to know but at least he’s got a chance to make that spot his own. If he performs well (which he did in JLT) hopefully he holds his spot. Cheap too so worth a shot imo

Honestly I'm not too sure, I don't really know the difference between him and Doedee when it comes to roles and injury fill-in etc. I haven't actually been paying that much attention over the off-season apart from going to the Mel/Nth game down here in Tassie, but for what it's worth I've got both the Adelaide boys in defense currently.

I'm sure I'll have to make a correction trade or two, but I think it's far more likely you'll have to trade out a bloke who didn't play in round 1 compared to one who did.

Doedee seems to have much better js. Is a key def, taking Lever’s vacated spot.

Murphy is playing as a small fwd in Charlie Cameron’s spot and has some competition for the spot, but he’s clearly the front runner at present
