Progress scores from The Stadium sees the Barcrawlers jump out to an early lead over The Bulls, 3/258 to 1/49.
21yo Tom Doedee, in only his 5th game for Banchang, held the fort down back with a very solid 100 and was well supported in the middle by the Ruck/Mid combination of Greenwood 86 and Sinclair with his lowest score this year, 72.
Hayward was the only player to take the field for the Bulls and his score of 49 would not have pleased the Coach, @tyze1 at all.
There's a long way to go in this game and it's still a 50/50 bet.
But I'm tipping the Barcrawlers may just go 1-4 by the end of this round.

Update from the Sandpit, @YAD69 ’s Barracudas are leading the hometown Sandgropers by 74 points.

    SCS - 689/8/86
    GEB - 763/9/85

The late withdrawal of Hawkins sees Turner get the call up for the visitors. Plenty to come in this one.

    Go Gropers!

The second stanza is done and dusted at The Stadium and the Bulls @tyze1 have come right back into this game with some inspired performances, specifically Coniglio and Whitfield in the middle, scoring 116 and 90 respectively and well supported my the hyphenated D B-J down back with 85, and as a result of their sustained pressure they have 6/446/74.3 and trail the Barcrawlers, 9/624/69.3, albeit with 3 more players in hand.
The locals, obviously feeling the after affects of a busy Songkran week, just couldn't get into the game after oranges, and only Langdon's 86 is worth mentioning. How a player can score 91 one week and 23 the next will surely come into the Match Committee's reckoning, when they meet to select the team for next weeks visit by The Parasites @ddsaints .
It's still anyone's game with Higgins EVW Impey Lyons Robinson and Adams to come for Banchang
while the Bulls have McEvoy Roughead Lynch Weller McCluggage Salem Jetta Maynard and Zaharakis still to take to the field.......

It appears the P Dogs have a hangover from last week. Will need a supreme effort to get up on this one.

The games tightening up at the Sandpit as @YAD69 ’s visiting Barracudas now lead the Sandgropers by 118 points however they have had two extra scorers.

    SCS - 846.5/10/85
    GEB - 964/12/80

Due to the extreme heat match officials have decided to extend the 3/4 time break for two days!!! Southern Cross have put Hurley, Hibberd, Smith, Stephenson & Prestia onto the excercise bikes to keep them warm for when Groote send Houli, Riewoldt & Phillips onto the park. This is still anyone’s game but the hometown fans are optimistic the boys can get a win and take the streak to three in a row.

    Go Gropers!

Over at Parasite Park 48 points and an extra player separate Pakenham and Cow Bay.

Pakenham - 918 from 12 for an ave of 76.5
Still to come: Sidebum, Bellchambers, Hogan
An injured Newnes (12) hasn't helped the home side's cause.

Cow Bay - 966 from 11 for an ave of 87.8
Still to come: Scharenberg, McGrath, McDonald, DeGoey

With a couple of decent scorers still to come Pakenham is going to come home strong.

The latest update from The Stadium sees the Barcrawlers 14/988, hanging on in their match with the visiting Bulls 11/827.
In a fiery 3rd Qtr, that lacked scoring, the visitors came out swinging and took exception to the way Banchang was exposing them with their rotations, so took it upon themselves to physically harrass both Interchange players, Higgins 62 and EVW 50, so much so they both had to leave the field under the Concussion Rule and will be in doubt for next week's game.
Mitch Robinson 102, tried hard for the locals, as did the wiley pocket forward McCluggage 96 for Staghorn Flat.
With only Adams still to appear, Banchang will find it impossible to hold back the tide, and Staghorn Flat @tyze1 with Salem Jetta Maynard and Zaharakis to come, should run out comfortable winners.

11/15th time and the Buffaloes have fought back, trailing by only 88, 858/11(78) to the Smugglers’ 946/11(86).

With an out-of-form Lever, and half a Shaun Grigg amongst those to come for Xmas Island, the Buff should be confident of chasing this down.
