Both were in Round 6 as well @thokash.

This highlights what a momentum killer the fixture can be. If you can split the next 2 matches I can still see the Ducks winning enough to make the 8, win both and it should be fairly comfortable.

Wish I hadn't have looked - ULV (4th) and WPW (5th) in the next two weeks.

Also it somehow looks like Round 9 is a copy of the Round 2 fixture, any ideas what is going on there?

RGF vs 29ers and MIW vs JJD are doubled up from Round 2 (IIRC)

JJD actually plays 29ers and MIW actually plays RGF - as per the fixture thread

This will get fixed prior to Round 8.

Undefeated ladder leaders Black Swamp passed 1300 for the first time in 2018 in fine style as they took the 4 points for the first time in this fixture by thrashing Wedge Island @Bearfly by an ORRFF record margin with the White Pointers once again set a new club low scoring mark largely due in part to a donut in the mids.

Neptune Island @That KI Guy firmed as premiership favourites as they outlasted Jan Juc by 39 points in the equal 7th highest aggregate match in ORFFF history to move to 5-1, a result which as @thokash has pointed out gives the Ducks the 2 highest losing scores of all time.

Rutherglen @tyze1 breezed past the Power @MrsBear to also improve to 5-1 and 3-0 al time in the H2H but dropped to 3rd place behind the Noahs on points scored while Useless Loop @YAD69 moved from 6 to 4th on 4 wins after dealing the Dropbears @stowie a club record loss of 307 points and finally securing their first win in 4 attempts in this fixture.

Walpole @port_leschenault smashed the Glow-Worms @ViQBoZ setting a club record winning margin for the 2nd consecutive week and remain in 5th position on 4-2 while the Tassie side have now gone 10 games winless for the 2nd time in club history and have dropped 21 of the last 22 ORFFF matches in a dire run of form.

Mt Thirsty @leematty 1 also improved to 4-2 and moved into 6th spot after holding the Avengers @Len to their lowest ever ORFFF total which saw their opponents drop from 4th to 8th, while Maralinga @Brett Sanders once again displayed the type of defensive prowess that other clubs can only dream of to easily defeat the Bucks @Dale Duivesteyn and move to 7th on 4-2.

In the final match of the round Heard Island @anthak moved up to 13th as they snared their 2nd W of the season and first in this fixture as they easily accounted for Macquarie Island @Darran Quite strangely the 139 point margin was actually the 2nd closest game of the round with the next closest being 205 points. The Whales have now lost 4 straight for the first time in club history and at 1-5 have now fallen 3 games back from 8th position putting them well and truly under the pump 2/5ths of the way through the home and away season.

In the intercomp universe the Noahs accounted for the Fugitives in the ORFF* Champions League qualifier to join the Boozers, Dropbears and Ducks in the competiton proper. Meanwhile the Avengers regrettably gave Parfitt a gold class double pass to Infinity Wars which resulted in him missing the ORFFF knockout semi final with the resulting donut a key factor in a surprisingly close loss. Congrats to @Len for the best result among the ORFFF teams this season and hopefully the ORFFF can collectively achieve better in the Champions League and in next year's competitions.
