OK, after the first week, the Stench have certainly made their presence known in terms of scent, but have left the door open in terms of scoring. That's a good thing because it is decidedly ripe in here and the place needs to air a bit. :spew:

There are only 7 points in it after week 1.

Five of the Vic/Tas boys didn't play first week... here are the scores:

Michael Hurley Cradle Mountain Devils - 93
Mitch DUNCAN Lovely Banks Lilacs - 97
Trent Cotchin Mt Beauty Uglies - 68
Isaac Heeney Lovely Banks Lilacs - 134
Max GAWN Mt Beauty Uglies - 76
Lance Franklin Venus Bay Vultures - 127
Justin Westhoff Lovely Banks Lilacs - 92
David Mundy Wineglass Bay Packers - 98
Josh CADDY Darraweit Guim Dirigibles - 47
Stefan Martin Venus Bay Vultures - 110

Still to play: Kade Simpson, Elliott Yeo, Shannon Hurn, Andrew Gaff, Marcus Bontempelli

    Total: 942/10

@bama 's boys were shit, with Cotch being tagged without Dusty to take the heat, and the people's beard getting towelled up by Grundy. Buddy went large as predicted, and @Jen 's man Heeney went nuts too.

Caddy was also crap, so the Lovely Banks and Darraweit weekend away was a mixture of good and not so good.

For the Rest, they also had 10 playing:

Tom MCDONALD Birdsville Battlers - 123
Jimmy Webster Marble Bar Misfits - 110
Jake Lloyd Marble Bar Misfits - 106
Clayton Oliver Wagga Wagga Wombats - 127
Patrick Dangerfield Foul Bay Chickens - 103
Brodie Grundy Gundagai Grasshoppers - 98
Robbie Gray Iron Knob Codpieces - 91
Sam MENEGOLA Waikikamoocow Incorrigibles - 65
Travis Boak Whitsunday Warriors - 74
Tom Phillips Larrikin Lagoon Lefties - 52

    Total 949/10

Still to play: James Sicliy, Jack McCrae, Tom Mitchell, Toby McLean, Ed Curnow

As expected the defence line of the Others was rock solid but Menegola, Phillips and Boak were shit.

Going to be an interesting series this!

Darraweit apologises for Caddy's shitfulness and will be urging a better effort this coming weekend.

Have you been drinking and posting again? Because I suspect you may have gotten a bit lost when posting this one in here. :p

It's all of a sudden become very interesting in the SOO (well to me anyway... not sure if anyone else is lol)

Some of the Vic/Tas boys who sat out the first week gave a big Get Stuffed to The Stench, with Kade Simpson (123), Elliott Yeo (144) and The Bont (129) going coco bananas. The Hoff improved on his first round 92 with a 114 as well.

Unfortunately Cotch (68 & 71) and Caddy (47 & 68) were disappointments and are currently rumoured to be touring the facilities at Mt Buggery. Shannon Hurn (61) and Andrew Gaff (74) join big Maxy Gawn (72) as the players who need to bring something for the good guys this week.

For the Others, injuries bit hard, with Jack McCrae (51) unlikely to play this week after pinging a hammy and Jimmy Webster going down with a 13... luckily enough though he had banked a 110 from the previous week or else the fat lady would have been singing. Titch (136) gave a typical beast performance, and Sicily was a more than respectable assistant with a 115. Menegola attoned for last weeks 65, notching up a 103, but Boak (74 & 64) was shit. Robbie Gray did what Robbie Gray does and improved his score by 30 points second time around.

Overall it is quite close, but the dark side of the force are behind by 37... I'm sure there are a few twists and turns to follow:

If you two could have a bloody word to Messrs Hurn and Gaff and get them to show the same levels of interest it would be appreciated!

    Great work Bandit.

Regrettably, while the sternly worded message got through to Mr Caddy after his poor first-up score, any dramatic improvements were curtailed by the weather and quality opposition. That said, he was a plus 21 in the second game so that's something.

It is going to be an intriguing final round of matches on the weekend.

In his presser after his 150th game Nat Fyfe: "how the blue blazzes did I not get a game for the stench?" The guy is inconsolable - second Brownlow? pfft. Passed over in the ORFFA SoFO? Unbelievable, especially given the guy who "tagged" him got a run.

Great work @Fitzy ... putting the rocket up Gaff for a lazy 122. Likewise to you @anthak for a 99 from Hurn!

This state of origin stuff is a fickle game. Coming into this weekend the Vic/Tas team had a narrow 37 point lead over The Others, who were going to be without Jack McCrae. The heat was going to be applied to the likes of Toby McLean to "just do something" John Kennedy style. Meanwhile, the Vic/Tas team were sitting back, Max Gawn stroking that prodigious beard and Andrew Gaff wanting to atone for the shit fest that was his second round outing.

Atone he did, with a cracking 122 to get the Vic/Tas boys as excited as a 10 year old sugared up at a sleepover. Big Max went Bang! Mike Breen style for a lazy 140 and that was the game just about done.

Grundy, McLean, Boak and Phillips all improved on the first scores for the Others, but not enough to get the team home. Vic/Tas take the chocolates for the second year in a row with a comfortable 68 point win!
