The Fyfe, Heeney and Simpson outs have seen teams up top use trades in order to stay in contention and tested bench cover for others further back or already low on trades

There seem to be some 2400 and 2500 ish scores around the TS leagues this week, and Wu Tang Clan went 2600 plus - congrats mate !

How did your team go and who were this week's heroes and villains ??

Are you playing for league or overall ?

As Anthak said posting your whole team makes it much easier to give advice. Playing Spargo at M9 gives you three options in the mids
      - take Spargo's score by playing Fyfe as a loophole with Ahern at M10
      - play Ahern at M8 with Fyfe (M10) if Spargo scores poorly
      - trade Fyfe to a premium playing on Sunday (ie not Oliver) if needed to get over the line in must win league matches

Trading Fyfe and going 1 down 1 up next week to have 1 trade left is running very low with 5 rounds to go. I would consider trading Fyfe to a cheaper player and use the $200k to upgrade Austin to a cheaper D6 this week or next, leaving 2 trades in hand rather than 1.

Alternatively keep Fyfe and do the Lloyd upgrade next week and keep 2 trades although you would field a rookie M8 score for a few more rounds.

Sigh. Was going to trade Dusty to Danger but didn't pull the trigger. Keep making wrong choices lately.

Need to arrest three weeks of ranking slide. But I resisted the temptation to trade this week. Got my best 22 named so let them do their thing.

Def: Laird, Yeo, Sicily, Simpson, Hurley, Rance (Murphy, Ridley)

Mid: TMitch, Cripps, Gaff, E Curnow, Oliver, Cogs, Parker, Dusty (Ahern, Spargo, J Smith)

      Ruc: Gawn, Grundy (Cameron)

Fwd: Mclean, Heeney, Franklin, Gray, Westhoff, D Smith (Ryan, Brander)

      4 trades and $228k.

A good team on paper, but only got 2241 last week.

Was considering Dusty and Rance out for Danger and Lloyd but would need an additional downgrade.

Now I'm planning on getting Macrae and Webster when they bottom out instead.

You’ve actually got a fair bit of cash in the bank. It looks like you could do your final upgrade this week.

One option is downgrading Ryan to a cheapie, then upgrading Austin to Lloyd. I think you can afford that, is that right?

Or, alternatively, you could forget about Lloyd, and look at trading out Fyfe and Austin, for maybe Angus Brayshaw and the best you can afford (either mid or def).

Both options would use 2 trades to “complete” your team, leaving 2 for the run home, but the 1st option you’d have to cover Fyfe for a couple more weeks.

Just ideas, what do you think?

Dusty showed signs of life in the 2nd half last week. He could very well turn his season around, and it’d be a shame if you traded him out given he’s such a popular player. On the flip side, if he did continue to go poorly, his popularity would make trading him a master stroke as you’d get a clear advantage over so many :)

I traded him in last week, so I’m hoping he has a strong run home.

I like that idea of the Fyfe and Austin out if i get Brayshaw at 450k i can still get Oliver or any mid 553k or cheaper. 1st option doesnt work for Ryan to a cheapy and get Lloyd falls 20k short.

I have 3 trades remaining, full team of premiums though. I have Bont who will probably miss no more or less than 3 weeks. Trading him leaves me with $522k to bring someone in. I've narrowed the options available down to Beams and Zorko. The Brisbane pair are in great form but I'm unsure which one I should pick. With Heeney and Simpson back, my other 21 premiums are all playing so I can use Ahern as coverage for Bont. This leaves me with three options, do I:

:1: Hold the trade and play Ahern for a few weeks
      :2: Trade in Beams
      :3: Trade in Zorko
      • Option 1 Option 1 x 2
      • Option 2 Option 2 x 2
      • Option 3 Option 3 x 1

I think you should keep Keefe & Sicily on different lines.

      Option 1- Oliver
      Option 2 - Pendles
      Option 3 - Sidebottom
Option 4 - Beams (although already have Zorko dont like too many in one line)
      Option 5 - Merrett.

Going to be some massive scores this week. 3-4 players going 150+ with a 300ish for a C on any of them.

Prediction - someone will score over 2750 this week.

Macrae has lost none of his scoring power!
He and Fyfe will be juiced when prices drop!
