At 1/9th time, Pearcedale are still locked in the visitors change rooms at the Terrordome - we’ve been meaning to get that door fixed for a while now ;)

Korumburra shoot out of the blocks to set up an early 300+ point lead on the back of 3 solid midfielders.

The boys clearly love having the recently re-signed captain Sloane (127) back up and about!

    KB 319 / 3 = 106 avg
    PEP 0 / 0 = 0

5/30th time at Flying Fish Cove Park, and the Whalers have come to play, jumping out to a substantial early lead 390/4 (97.5) to 27/1.

At 2/9ths time out in Cow Bay it's pretty much game over.

    Cow Bay: 109 / 2 / 54.5
    Groote Eylandt: 497 / 5 / 99.4

It's hard to see the Crocs coming back from here.

A second score in the 20s for the Smugglers to an injured Kreuzer, sees the Whalers increase their control in this one, leading 477/5 (95.4) to 385/6 (64.2).

Will take an almighty effort for the home team to get back into this one.

Early in the match it’s @wrightbrendan ’s Buffaloes leading by 114 points.

    SCS - 313/4/78
    SB - 427/4/106

This ones slipping away from Southern Cross.

    Go ‘Gropers!

In a must win for both clubs, Gisborne have started averagely with 491/6/81.3 (assuming Sam Murray doesn’t play on Sunday), while King Island have a slightly poorer 300/4/75. Jack Billings is the early leader with a season second-best 125, finally returning to some form, while for the Monarchs young Fisher looks to be a real find after his 93 under the Friday night lights.

In a lacklustre opening to the Banchang/Nuytsland game, the locals are 4/280/70 leading the Vikings 1/85, but in actual fact, they are 2/85 as Seb Ross failed to appear, after coming down with a dose of "Banchang Belly".

The pain (but not as much) continues for the Crocs with the Cudas holding a 126 point lead at 7/9ths time.

    Cow Bay: 879 / 11 / 79.9
    Groote: 1005 / 11 / 91.4

    Still to come:
Scharenberg, Jones, Lycett and De Goey for the home side
Lloyd, Phillips, Cripps and Turner for the fishy visitors

Things have tightened up at the Sandpit with the locals closing the gap to @wrightbrendan ’s Buffaloes to 11 points.

    SCS - 893/10/89
    SB - 904/10/90

    This is anyone’s game.

Update from The Stadium see Banchang 9/617 trailing Nuytsland 10/637. I'm pretty sure I got that right but will confirm in the morning when I can actually see the keyboard to post the report...

Update from Pakenham has the visitors in front. The Dogs are 940 after 10 vs the home team 855 after 10
Could be a close finish with the home team maybe having the better players to finish.
Still points on the board is always good

The Smugglers have fought back in the third term to take a 17 point lead - 872/11 to 855/11.

    To come:

CIS: Robbie Gray, Westhoff, Hurn, Bonner

    EW: Crisp, Tarrant, Motlop, Papley

Should be a grandstand finish from here.

The fog has lifted at The Stadium and the remaining players are preparing for the 2nd half, with the score favouring the 4th placed Vikings, who have posted an unflattering 10/637 while the Barcrawlers have an even worse score of 9/617.
In a dismal 1st half, where Nuytsland's Ross and Viney failed to show, due to consuming too much spicy som tam, only Tom Mitchell 159, managed to break the ton, but was supported down back by Harbrow 80, while McLean 89 and Greene 80, in his first game back for quite some time, showed attacking skills up front.
On the other side of the coin, only Jarryd Lyons with 99, playing in the middle, rates a mention, although evergreen Mitch Robinson 86, never stopped trying.
In what could be an interesting half coming up, if Banchang's remaining 5 1/2 players play to their average, they might just run over the top of the Vikings to post an unlikely win....with the Thai Papaya Green Salad being Nuytslands downfall....

Down in Gisborne, the Grenades are 751/10/75.1 while King Island have jumped to 861/12/71.8. Both teams are crawling along but there could be a tight finish, but with NicNat appearing injured it looks increasingly difficult for the Monarchs @Tylo

Post the Pies/Eagles match the Sandgropers have opened up a 93 point lead (albeit with one extra player) over @wrightbrendan ’s Buffaloes. Can Serengeti respond to the pressure?

    Go ‘Gropers!

@wrightbrendan The final equation is Dixon + 34 points vs Ryder. With Ryder leading By 35 at half time this one looks like going down to the final whistle.

    Go ‘Gropers!

Early estimates have the Grenades winning by around 50

Not even a faltering Kayne (aka Kanye) Turner worried the Groote Eylandt coach as the Barracudas have taken out a win over the Crocs by 75 points.

    Crocs: 1,154 / 15 / 76.9
    Cudas: 1,229 / 15 / 81.9

    Match report to come.
