Black Swamp (Round 13 - AFL17) In - Cutler, Hardwick, Hooker, R Henderson Out - Jonas, McVeigh, Bont, DeBoer Geary Cutler Hardwick SDT - Cordy D Beams Viney Grigg S Higgins - S Hill Westhoff Hooker JDG S Edwards - Hayward C Sinclair - no emg Duckwood R Henderson - Roughead (WB) Ahead of a must win Tassie Tussle clash with the Glow-Worms @ViQBoZ the 29ers have made four changes due to some low level radiation sickness hitting a number of players on the bus ride home from Maralinga following our Round 12 match.
At the end of the night Mole Creek lead 12/1003 (83.5) to Black Swamp 9/657 (73) Mole Creek have Scharenberg, Darcy and Heeney to play, Black Swamp will look to come home strong with it's heavy hitters stepping up in Thompson, Higgins, Hill, Sinclair, Westhoff and De Goey
Year to date averages have the Glow-Worms @ViQBoZ projected to win by 35. The 29ers will need the home crowd to get behind their efforts to reel in the visitors commanding lead in the final stages.
SDT and Sinclair's slow starts have the Mole Creek @ViQBoZ side in the drivers seat to secure a well deserved victory in this game provided Heeney and Darcy can stay on the park in the closing stages.
As predicted, it was a bad move dropping Jeremy McGovern, and he made a statement in the magoos with a 132. Unfortunately Mason Cox was also a late withdrawal. He couldn't stand to play with the rest of our forwards this week and pulled himself out, leaving Ryan Clarke to try and fill in out of position. Unfortunately the 4 forwards only managed to score 152 between them! When the results are revealed, I think it will be a comfortable victory to the Virgins!
