After our season destroying loss last week it is all hands on deck to try and salvage something from the last few games and inflict a 3rd loss in four weeks on the virgins. In announcing the team the head of our selection committee offered these comments "In a bold squad management move the club feels Darcy Cameron is ready to make his debut and as a result we have returned Nic Nat to our surgical enhancement program to have his other knee 'improved' ready for what will certainly be our premiership defense in 2020. This comes after successful previous programs saw Nic Nat's & Brodie Smith emerge stronger for the experience. We have also decided to 'rest' Taylor Walker for an internal disciplinary reasons associated with a 'friendly fire' incident last match involving an elbow, Tuohy's head and a serious intent to injure. In light of recent international basketball suspensions we feel 1 week is bordering on excessive but will at least serve teach Taylor the significance of his actions." The Virgins are on 523/6 87.2 to the Whales on 939/12 78.2 @Darran Plenty to come from the home side, hoping they can rally cause points on the board are points on the board!
The Boozers @leematty1 have their big guns in Mitchell, Curnow and Murphy playing in the early Sunday game before finishing things with Cripps, Rocky and Shaw in the late games. The 29ers will need massive performances from Hardwick, Henderson, Cordy and the Hoff if they are to keep ahead of the fast finishing home side.
Although Henderson with 109 helped, Mitchell’s almost double ton (192) and Cripps 114 should be enough to see the Boozers take this one out. Shaw doing well to seal the win.
In a low scoring close affair the Virgins squeeze a win on the back of Polec & Fifty Shades 1,162/15 77.5 to @Darran Whales 1,146/15 76.4.
Following this weeks loss the Avengers are now focussed on making 8th spot so we can make someone else look even better
Wow! what a topsy turvy match! @Darran Both teams having 5 tonns, both teams having 4 players scoring under 55 points, with Doedee winning the low ball hand Virgins had Biggs out & the Whales had Daisy out The home side was lucky to get away with the win, interesting times ahead for Useless Loop.
