Gentlemen, With news that the AFL pre-season competition will commence on Thursday, 28 February, it would be great if we can get our drafting complete before then. As such, We've decided on the following significant dates for season 2019: 30 January, Wednesday, Midnight AEDT - Delistments complete. 1 February, Friday, 08:00 AEDT - PSD commences. 27 February, Wednesday, Midnight AEDT - PSD complete. 19 March, Tuesday, Midnight AEDT - Trading complete and teams finalised. 21 March, Thursday, 19:20 AEDT - Lockout, Season commences. Lock these dates into your calendars, and get excited about season 2019.
Good news gentlemen. The AFL has finally planned the junket to coincide with the regular byes, so there'll be no need for a compromised round with Port and Saints players missing. Their bye aligns with the R12 byes of 4 other clubs, and our mid-season break. So, round 11 will end on Sunday 2 June. Rounds 12-13-14 are the multibyes. Round 15 will commence on Thursday 27 June (partial lockout). Mid Season trades and draft will occur during this period (for anyone planning holidays!)
I know I raised it last year and can't remember the response I got but any thoughts on pushing the draft back a bit later so we can get a look at players in the pre-season matches?
It's my opinion that you either complete the draft prior to the JLT Series or you commence the draft after the completion of the JLT Series... That way there is no advantage/disadvantage to any Coaches by starting the Draft at some point during the JLT Series.......
I prefer finishing before JLT as it will likely leave some players for the MSD. Also rewards those that put in the hard yards doing research. I’d like it to stay as is.

I also haven’t and probs won’t be as active as normal during this time of year. Excuse my absence and please have patience with my slow responses. Sorry guys On another note I propose we have a true off season where no auctions, trading or anything gets done.... With only a few coaches active the auctions can be snavelled up by the active coaches disadvantaging the others that are stuck busy with other problems. If we all new a date the hot season started (auction, trading period) we may all endeavour to get enthusiastic and fire up and get active sparking a hive of activity. At the moment I’ve missed a few auctions and I know I can spark up trade talks now but I don’t want it just easy pickings for some coaches during this time of year. Thoughts gang?
There has been a few coaches ask, so I've gone straight to the chief, and he's delivered. TS Leagues lockout should now be open, so that you can use this to help plan your team set-up going into next year. Thanks heaps to @walesy for his magic, as always.

Brutal. Again! Going to miss 2 entire seasons in his prime. Hopefully this is the last of it and he doesn’t end up as one of those unfortunate blokes who’s body just keeps letting him down.
