The draft will be very interesting this year with supposedly the best top 8 talent on offer since 2001. Experts seem to think that any of the top 6 could have been taken at number 1 in previous years. I'm keen to see the order with only 1 mid in the top 6 and then a raft of forwards. Will people reach for mids taken later in the draft or just follow the AFL clubs? I can't wait for it to start!

My thought is that many coaches will reach for mids... or defenders... or they could just copy the AFL draft order directly... who knows! Only a few days left of speculation though! ...and I finally got an email confirming that my Prospectus is in the post... this morning! Not really good enough is it?!?!?!
Hey all. I am back. Sorry have had other priorities for the last few days. Obviously I missed out on a heap of trading action and even two delistments from my team. Sorry for not responding to the couple of coaches trying to get trades done.
Mate as far as I know trading continues - just player movement needs to be ensure that you list doesn't go over 24 players so the mandatory 4 picks can be taken in the draft Coaches correct me if I'm wrong
Was just scrolling through our first draft thread. Some very interesting picks, especially early! Rockliff at 5 would've seemed like a steal but with only two good years was he worth it? Wingard went 19, another one who has failed to live up to expectations. I took Jack Steven at 7 - MISTAKE! Steven was of course traded to Ararat for Jaensch who promptly retired without playing a game for Gisborne, setting the franchise back by light years
I'm looking for some thumbs please with regards to this. Jake Barrett and Declan Mountford are no-longer on AFL lists, but they're still on Blanchetown's list. Delistment deadline has passed, so technically @martyg is stuck with them. We had a precedent set with Kurt Tippett. Thumbs up: Blanchetown can delist the players. Thumbs down: Blanchetown is stuck with two non-playing players until the Mid Season.
I thinks it's a little different to Tippett as he was on list and retired late January. Barrett was delisted Sep18 & Mountford wasn't offered a contract in Oct18. They were never going to be playing this year and should just come of his list. There's my 2cents worth.
End of the day, its my stuff up for not keeping up to date. If there are enough thumbs up, then they get delisted and I will get 2 new players. If it's thumbs down, I will pick up 2 more players in the MSD. I will cop it either way.
