The penalty for finishing on top last year is pretty big - having to wait until Pick 10 from this bumper pool of free agents.
I’m guessing we don’t have a time limit given we only have 10 teams and this league is willy nilly.......but the first 20 picks should’ve been wildfire picks.
We've never needed one before but methnks times are a changing. Don't like mid-draft rule changes so will see if @Tylo can give me some reliable form of contact instead. If not we will go to 12 hour cutoff with respite between 11pm and 6am.
Seconded and thirded by the COC. Well past the 12 hour rule already. Am guessing you are all over the autopick process. The thing is, those coaches who cast aside both work and sleep are left hanging and start to lose interest. The snowball effect slows the process even further. Pump, pump, pump. Enthusiasm.
Agreed - I got up at 530am this morn so as not to hold you lot up, thinking the first two rounds would go in a blink!
Also, not using snake pick order given that two teams were disbanded is another big leg-up for the early picks in this draft.
Jumping the gun there @TerryinBangkok per @Len's amended "rule" above we have until 427pm Melb time until 12 (or 19 including 11pm-6am) hours are elapsed. At one point I was sure that I saw a post saying that no one would be on the clock until the 14th March ? Hence, enforcing an autopick doesn't sit that well with me. In any case once @Tylo takes his pick or doesn't we can hopefully keep on track to finish this by Friday/Saturday,I understand that is a bit slow for some but it is still well ahead of Thursday week's partial lockout which means those of us playing SC can concentrate on that with 1 less distraction.
Yeah, we are not in a force pick scenario at this point. If I can get reliable ctc info for Tylo then I see no need for the rule, I have more than adequate ctc details for everyione else except Holky. We agreed to start the draft on the 12th and not really force any timing until the 14th which was the other suggested start date. I just don't want to be in this situation in 3 days time and that's where we might have to consider skipped picks, there will be no autopick, if it comes in you miss your turn and take a pick when online, if. Hoping we don't have to put it in tbh
Depends which gun you use @TheTassieHawk. Rules aside, my point was it is well past 12 hours since the last pick. This is likely a one off, but Len's point remains; 8 picks in a day with only 10 teams is indicative of enthusiasm lacking in some quarters. Conversely, the banter here is indicative that enthusiasm remains healthy in other quarters.
I’ve been checking this thread hourly, as I’ve noticed a real delay on the notification emails coming through (like a heap come through at once, with sent times that differ from receipt times) because I want to get this done and move on lol. It’s just a couple of picks each in a limited pool ffs...that said I’m really looking forward to this game!! Good crew of old school guys who know footy really well and don’t mind a bit of stick
