Yet another rolling lockout... this one a loooooong one... a bit like the clouds where @graeme is from.

In an interesting segue, my Spelunkers are taking on the cows this weekend, I hope they take care of business.

    THEME: Mark Seaby Memorial Round

Draft SNAFUs are fun. Choosing ineligible players, making picks in the wrong order ... all part of the great gigantic fun ride that is the ORFFA. Mr Seaby - whose immortalisation as the poster-child of draft choice fun was almost challenged by a semi-SNAFU involving young Bomber Matt Guelfi in the 2018 MSD - is a reminder that no matter how much planning you do, there's always another coach ready and waiting to draft your sleeper pick from right under your nose.

Whitsunday Warriors V Mount Beauty Uglies
Waikikamoocow Incorrigibles V Charlies Opening Spelunkers
Birdsville Battlers V Wineglass Bay Packers
Nareewillock Nuffers V Venus Bay Vultures
Nowhere Else Wanderers V Larrikin Lagoon Lefties
Marble Bar Misfits V Gariwerd Cockatoos
Wagga Wagga Wombats V Gundagai Grasshoppers
Iron Knob Codpieces V Foul Bay Chickens
Lovely Banks Lilacs V Cradle Mountain Devils

    Round 5 against @dmandrews

The Lilacs welcome Cradle Mountain to the Lovely Banks ground, we hope you enjoy our purple rooms.

Another tough ask for the boys but we are going along great, so anything can happen.

A few little changes have been made but players in BOLD are playing tonight, depending on what happens at the selection table tonight, there could be more changes.

D - Stewart, Langdon, Rampe, Wilkie EMG - Jonas
M - Duncan, Ross, Tyson, Lloyd EMG - Gibbons
    R - Sinclair
F - Heeney, Wright, Westhoff, Parish EMG - Ryan
    I - Jones, Moore EMG - Bolton

Chooks bringing Eddie Betts in from the Magoos to play his 300th this week. Not sure it is the best move points wise, but it seems like the good, sentimental thing to do.

The Misfits look like this, new captain Lachie Whitfield now in charge of the squad.

Cradle Mountain Devils Round 5 team vs Lovely Bank Lilacs

    Out: D Zaharakis (knee)
    In: J Redden

    Defenders - M Hurley, Z Jones, D Rich, D Thomas (N Vlastuin)
    Midfielders - S Pendlebury, D Heppell, J Steele, J Hopper (A Naughton OOP)
    Rucks - T Nankervis
    Forwards – L Breust, T Lynch, J Gresham, R Marshall (B Daniels)
    Int: J Redden, D Zorko (H Himmelberg)

Players in bold played last night.

Due to a knee injury midfielder David Zaharakis has been ruled out of the Round 5 road trip against the Lovely Bank Lilacs. Zaharakis with 119 points was the Devils equal highest scorer in the Round 4 victory against the Chickens along with Rowan Marshall. Fellow midfielder Jack Redden was dropped after Round 3 and recaptured his form last weekend with 145 points in the seconds so the CMD match committee had an easy decision in bringing Redden in to replace Zaharakis.

Thanks for the welcome to the Lovely Banks ground @Jen for our Round 5 ORFFA encounter, whatever the result I am sure the Devils players and staff will enjoy the LBL purple rooms more than they did in their most recent visit in Round 2, 2018 when the Lilacs comfortably defeated the Devils by 125 points, 1,202 to 1,077 to inflict CMD’s second biggest loss of 2018.

The Lovely Bank Lilacs have been in great form in 2019 and like the Devils have a record of three wins and one loss so I am very confident that the 2018 Lilacs vs Devils match aggregate of 2,279 will be easily surpassed this Easter long weekend.

Mark Seaby round forgetfulness. Prestia (121) on the bench. Drew (105) forgotten about.

Apologies Banditto; it's not disrespect; just old age (and alcohol).

All out for 1092, with our oop ruck scoring the highest team SC score it could easily have been in the low 1100s and our best score for the season eclipsing 1097 in Round 2 @Fitzy

1341ish for me, not stellar but a GWS loss always lowers the Misfit's expectations

Oh pleeeeeze, it's bad enough supporting the pride of London. Next you'll suggest I could be a Collingwood supporter.

I'm now down to 14th on the ladder, with only rebuilding (tanking) clubs placed lower!
