For this period no auction can have an end point later than 9pm Friday 7th June Auction rules: 1. All players or picks to be auctioned should be listed with a closing day/time. 2. All players or picks being auctioned cannot be pulled before that day/time. 3. No asset being auctioned should be the subject of private trade negotiations nor used as part of a bid in another auction, until the auction of the asset has reached it's conclusion/closing time, with or without a sale. 4. Stating a reserve, or a preferred return type for the auctioned asset is voluntary. 5. The reserve is not reached on any asset until the seller says so. 6. Once a reserve has been reached the seller has the option to adjust the auction length, but to no less than 48 hours, or the end of the trade period, whichever is the lesser. 7. As soon as practical after receiving multiple bids on an asset the seller should indicate whom is in front, any reasoning is optional. 8. All auctions are final and irreversible unless via subsequent mutually agreed trade. 9. Once a bid is tabled the bid is live until rejected OR deemed beaten by the person conducting the auction, it cannot be materially altered once tabled. 10. No bid can be conditional on outcomes not directly related to the auction at hand.
Going to give this a fly, only one player I can delist without regret so looking to extract value from someone I can't access this year. Devon Smith Looking for a (very) early MSD pick and at minimum a early 2nd round PSD pick, will hold rather than let go for any less. Auction end Thursday 6th 10pm
For Auction: Bryce Gibbs. Doesn't need any introduction, absolute gun and you know you're gonna get a bloke who plays every week and gets you 100... Seeking a decent MSD or PSD pick, or whatever you think is worthy and I'll assess. Auction closes: Friday 7 June, 11:59pm. Get in quick!
The Nuffers are auctioning Nic Naitanui plus the Nuffers 2020 PSD 2nd Round (approx pick 21) http://tooserious.net/forum/player_career.php?id=705&pcid=50735&name=Nic Naitanui https://www.afl.com.au/news/2019-06-17/star-eagle-poised-for-longawaited-comeback-via-wafl - apparently Ch7 will be telecasting live in WA and streaming worldwide All bids must consist of 1 * player plus 1 * 2020 1st to 3rd Round PSD pick (note additional PSD picks may be added but will not be weighted much). If offering a lower (IE WORSE) PSD pick than the Nuffers 2nd round PSD then please note that the player offered would need to be 26 or younger and ideally would be averaging around the following by position in 2019 - defenders averaging high 70s, forwards averaging mid 80s or midfielders averaging high 80s (a 10 pts lower average may be enough if a player is aged under 21 and has played at least 10 games in 2019). - any rucks offered would need to be likely to get consistent games immediately and be several years younger than NN, average is not as important If a very high PSD pick is offered then the player component to the bid clearly becomes far less important as I have no qualms about on-trading picks for players in the 2020 preseason trade period. This auction will clearly be of most interest to teams in the win-soon mode who have ruck issues, please make serious bids only as sub-par bids will be subject to ridicule. Auction closes 830pm Sunday 23rd June (noted this was originally posted as 10pm). Cheers
Thanks for a strong opening bid @TerryinBangkok Unfortunately the bid does not meet reserve assuming the 2nd Rounder is the Warriors. I quite like the player, however in combination with an expected double digit pick downgrade in the PSD it doesn't get over the bar to meet reserve.
I've had a couple of messages sent to me so just want to clarify one thing. The owner of an asset in an auction can't negotiate a bid that doesn't meet reserve. You can offer some reasons why the reserve isn't met, but you can't say (for example) 'If you offered me player Y instead of player X the reserve would be met.' Any questions, hit myself or @Len up prior to posting the bid to prevent global outrage and gnashing of teeth
Thanks for the bid @snoz Unfortunately the bid does not meet reserve. The main issue is that the player is injury prone and hasn't run out in the seniors since Round 3 of 2018 and hence the package as a whole is in my valuation a little behind the opening offer from the Warriors.
Thanks for the bid @anthak Unfortunately the bid does not meet reserve. As a soon to be 27yo and a certainty to be MID in SC next year Guthrie (plus Cockies 2nd) comes very close but is just short of ticking the box needed. A touch over 11 hours to go to the 830pm close. I won't be continuously online but will try to check back in every 2-3 hours or so.
Bid just meets reserve. Gulp. Around 6.5 hours to go, will try to get on every 90 mins or so to check back.
The Misfits are the new clubhouse leader. @Len @TerryinBangkok @anthak @graeme @snoz and anyone else - 160 minutes to go
