I have 5 trades but only 20k but was going to move on either Logue or Answerth for Birchall opening some cash up (not enough) but with 474k i can move brayshaw onto one of the following mids: Sidebottom, Higgins (although he has B/E 162) Rocky, Dusty as pure mids, or move one of my fwds with dpp like Danger Kelly Dunkley etc to the mids and look for a fwd like R.Gray Greene, Worpel, Jezza Cameron or even Mundy? In a make or break chance to make the finals sitting 6th but equal on points with 9th and this week 6v7 8v9!!!

Backline - Lloyd, Houli, Sicily, L.Ryan, B.Smith, Logue (Answerth, Naish)
Mids - Macrae, Fyfe, Neale, Oliver, Bont, Cripps, M.Crouch, Brayshaw (Hind, Hill, Scott)
      Rucks - Grundy, Goldy (Schlensog)
Fwds - Dunkley, Danger, Boak, Heeney, Walters, T.Kelly (Gardiner, R.Young)

TU - Get Birchall & Brayshaw to a mid
TD - Get Birchall move A fwd dpp to mids and get a fwd
      All comments and feedback appreciated

If 6th through 9th are level on points how close is the % gap between yourself and 8th ??
If 9th beats 8th (worst case ignoring a draw) are you most likely going to finish 8th even if you lose ?

      On the % question 1.4% 100-98.6

So you would have to lose by over 400 points (1% around 300-330 points) for 8th to catch you on % (assuming they lose by 1 point and increase their current %).

As long as 10th/11th etc aren't 4 points behind you with a really good % I wouldn't be stressed about winning or losing, just avoiding getting absolutely smashed.

If you are trading out Brayshaw I would say avoid Birchall, get a cheaper rookie (perhaps a $102.4k dpp d/m or f/m as your M10) and a more expensive premium. With 3 trades left you may have to then do another downgrade in the first week of finals to build the bank for your final upgrade.

With that said I am not sure whether Brayshaw is a bigger problem than D6. Perhaps downgrading Hind/Logue/Answerth or double downgrading (Hind and one of Logue/Answerth) this week to build $100k-$300k cash would be the best way forward. Then next week you can pick the upgrade/s you can afford with a greater range of options than as above.

      Who to field?
      Up - Robbie Gray
      Down - James Worpel

      No non-playing emergencies to loophole.

Last week I chose wisely and gained 45 points. But this week...

Should I go for broke and do this trade?
Need cover for Hurn, but I did score 2545 without him last week...
This will be the one time I can afford to bring Whitfield back in. I could go for broke with the below and bring him in addition to Hurn, Brodie Smith becomes my D7 bench, and my midfield are all currently selected with Ian Hill being handy M/F DPP allowing me to switch Kelly or Dunkley to Midfield if needed later (although no Fwd bench isn't ideal).
Or I could straight swap Hurn for Whitfield and keep the DPP of Answerth and Duursma as D7/M9... but also look at Stack to Mundy perhaps to open up that DPP with Forward line.
Not having a completely premo lineup bothers me, but so does bench - I have plenty midfield cover but nothing in the fwd line worries me, I'd been thinking DPP helps me cover it.

      Before trade/s I have 3 trades and $8,500.

I see the in/s out/s as Davis for Keeffe, Kennedy for Stein, Hately for Deledio suggesting a slightly different GWS game plan this week. However with Toby named onball it is tempting to consider sticking to the plan. My main issue now is Hurn being out and needing to play a weaker defender and benching Chol if I bring in Greene.

I will see how Quaynor and Chol both perform tonight as D7 and F7 and then decide between Greene, Whitfield, Marshall and some of the more reliable M8 options.

Before the trade I have 3 trades and $8,500. So not a lot to play with, but having DPP is like extra trades - last year I managed to field 22 the final 3 rounds using DPP despite having run out of trades. I am leaning towards Stack to Mundy for this reason.

But crucially having such little cash to work with, this could be the last week that Hurn to Whitfield is possible and certainly the last week I could afford Hill to come in. If Hurn was announced to be out till round 23, and Whitfield scored 110+, I can't afford the trade next week.

Is there any idea how long Hurn is out for?

I see Greene as a good pick for as long as Jelly is out.... then he'll go back to his normal role potentially...
Hurn trained full with the main group this week so they must be just playing it real cautious... or he rehurt it...

I only have 2 trades left myself...was going Jelly to Neale but could instead go Hurn to Whitfield.... decisions o_O

@ike2112 - I reckon if you can get Whitfield in using 1 trade instead of 2 then sideways Hurn and be done with it, Stack to Mundy is also worth considering if you are confident Hurn will return.

The difference is if Hurn comes back next week you have Smith as D7 and 1 trade to cover your Rucks and Forwards versus having Duursma/Answerth floating as d/m cover and an extra trade in hand for the last month.

So I need 402 from Fyfe Macrae(C) Ryan and Walters. In my other league I lead by 39 with me having Macrae (C) Walters Dunkley vs Mundy Macrae Merrett and Johannisen

uuuuhghhghghgh, lost *another* cash league game by 20 points. 6th for the season.

Damnit Dunks. Shoulda just left it with VC Grundy, or copied my opponent and went Gawn.

Out of the finals :( Would have been 5th on percentage with a win.

I was cursing my luck on Saturday when i traded Logue - Birchall (87 was ok) but could have saved a trade and played Answerth 98 but inspired pick of Toby (i said i would never pick you again)Greene. But Sunday a stress free day after 3.45 Macrae (C) plus Walters more than handy 100+ had my opponent needed Merrett to score 197 to beat me and that was never gonna happen. From close to missing out on the 8 to finishing 5th, still an elimination final 3 trades bugger all cash but who knows hey!
