First little dig from the strong favourites to take out this weekends game @tyze1. The Whales have a particular dislike for Whalers, hoping this is the extra motivation to get us fired up for the game, after a bit of team building earlier in the week preparing the islands entry into the "Great Albicake bake off" https://www.antarctica.gov.au/news/...0/this-week-on-macquarie-island-12-june-2020/ Our round 2 team is as follows DEF: Brodie Smith, Zach Tuohy, Tom Doedee, Trent Rivers (Will Gould) MID: Josh P Kennedy, Dayne Zorko, James Harmes, Angus Brayshaw (Justin McInerney) RUC: Nic Naitanui (Darcy Cameron) FWD: William Snelling, Darcy MacPherson, Sam Lloyd, Jamie Elliott (Taylor Walker) INT: Aaron Hall, George Hewett (Toby McLean)
Black Swamp (Round 2) S Edwards Tarrant H Clark Hardwick - Wilkie Viney Duckwood Bont Higgins - De Boer JDG C Brown Hayward C Jones - Jonas Sinclair Cutler Mayne - Zaharakis Following a draw in Round 1 our home opener for 2020 see the 29ers taking on the 2019 ORFFF premiers @port_leschenault for the Unofficial ORFFF Championship - perhaps it will be a case of 5th time lucky but probably not ! Chayce Jones retains his place after being a late in for Sam Reid in Round 1 while Sinclair and Hardwick replace Zaharakis and Jonas who are cut from the side. Joining the 2 dropped players on the emergencies are Wilkie and DeBoer while Clurey is the only 29er named for AFL duties who has failed to earn a berth in the 19 man squad for Round 2.
Avengers lineup for this contest are; DEFENDERS Callum Mills, Lachlan Weller, Jarrod Brander, Zachary Williams - Sam Taylor MIDFIELDERS Jack Steele, Zak Jones, Karl Amon, Matthew Rowell - Jye Caldwell RUCKS Oscar McInerney - FORWARDS Eric Hipwood, Darcy Fogarty, Ben King, Brandan Parfitt - Jack Lonie INTERCHANGE Jack Bowes, Callan Ward - Adam Cerra
The 29ers have (unofficially) tallied 1302 but don't reckon that will be enough to down the Woylies @port_leschenault
The Glow Worms sneak home to go 2-0, Heard Island slip to a surprising 0-2 and according to some now can't make finals
As foreshadowed by the home coach @Darran a blood bath has ensued as the Whales have been carved up by a ruthless Fugitives outfit. In the second highest massacre in FF history the Fugitives have run out 479 point victors, for the home team its less said the better... for the Fugitives they hope ruckman S Martin has avoided injury.
