Round 5 – AFL Round 5Date Thursday 2nd July 2020 THEME - Spud Round The great Allan Jeans famously compared footballers to sausages - "You can fry them, grill them, bake them ... but they're still footballers. And while we don't condone the frying, baking or grilling of footballers here in the ORFFA, we do condone the baking of spuds. Especially those fantasy football spuds who score abysmally and cost us our weekly match-up. They definitely deserve a good bake. Guys a quick note to make sure you check your teams week to week... we had an accidental loophole happen this week, and accidental or not it is still a breach of the rules. If you have named the same team as you did the week before, in rounds with Thursday games you are specifically required to name a team that does not trigger a loophole whilst there is a named option available who can cover the position. Essentially, you can't name an emergency who is playing on Thursday night unless you have all positions on that line filled with players who are listed to play that weekend. Shout if there are any questions...

Genuine question - do the ORFFA rules allow naming of 2 emergencies in one position and if both emergencies play but one of the named players doesn’t is the lower emergency score brought in or the first named ?
@TheTassieHawk - my understanding is yes, and yes. But I would really like someone more learned to answer.
I have had to make some changes to my team, Bolton has been dropped and I have no ruck. Wright has been named as an emergency for Gold Coast, so I have put him in my team as an emergency for the ruck I will either get half or zero points for him, leaning more to zero points. Flanders has come in to replace Bolton but again named as an emergency, he plays great if not another zero for my team. Goving it the best chance I can.
