Round 6 – AFL Round 6 Date Thursday 9th July 2020 THEME - COVID related fixture change hub quarantine round of confusion (and COVID breaches) No, it is not a random grouping of words downloaded from some wordcloud about most popular internet search terms, it is the official title of our newly-rejigged Round 6. (Hey, if the AFL can do its fixture week-by-week, so can we!) So, this week we hope that everyone is staying safe and well, isolating and locking down if necessary and looking with envy at the migration of hundreds of AFL players who are heading north for the winter. Round 6 was originally meant to be ANZAC Round, well ANZAC day has long gone, so we needed to change it. I think this is the perfect theme for this round, with everything that has been going on with all the AFL teams now in hubs around Australia.
the Spelunkers will ensure there is plenty of hand sanitiser and lilac coloured, lavender scented facemasks in the change rooms for your team Jen
The away sides for games three and four of Round 6 are different in the matchday section of TS leagues then how they are listed above. In the matchday section of TS leagues the Gariwerd Cockatoos are listed as the away side for both games 2 and 3 whilst the Cradle Mountain Devils aren’t listed at all. I think games 3 and 4 need to be adjusted, in TS leagues they currently are listed as: Game 3 – Iron Knob vs Gariwerd Cockatoos Game 4 - Mount Beauty Uglies vs Gundagai Grasshoppers I think the match-ups should be as @Jen has listed them in her post above, being: Game 3 Iron Knob Codpieces V Gundagai Grasshoppers Game 4 Mount Beauty Uglies V Cradle Mountain Devils Can someone please review the ORFFA Round 6 fixture in the matchday section of TS leagues. Thanks

Absolutely Jen, we have a range of fine wines from around the area, and there have been a number of distilleries (both legit and maybe not so legit) pop up too, so I am confident we have the needs of you and your team covered

The Nuffers have again made 3 changes ahead of their Round 6 match at home to Foul Bay (@chief Russell) Shaun Atley, SPP and Luke Brown replace Rowell, Hanners and Redman while Brad Hill is again named to play as an out of position ruck despite spotting his direct opponent Todd Goldstein a good 40cm in height. Geary, Philp, Ed Richards and Tom McDonald are the emergencies this week while Harry Cuningham lines up in the seconds.
If my math serves me correctly we have suffered our first loss for 2020 in an underwhelming performance, just scraping over 1000 against Gariwerd. Anthaks mob had JPK and Sutcliffe off early in their games so we had our chance, but had too many underperformers. This would put Foul Bay in prime position if they won this weekends game. *Awkward if my math is wrong but I have us losing by about 60 ** Hope my math is wrong
On another note, personally I'm finding ORFFA more exciting without a finals series. Every game matters more for a contender with the reprecussions of a loss being pretty significant. I rather this than teams being on a relatively level playing field as long as they make the 8, where you just need to team to have an unlucky week and 8th can beat 1st. Guess thats also a pro to the system though, gvies most teams something to play for rather than just the top few, but I do think in future years it would be good for there to be more benefit to finishing higher Pros and cons to everything.
The Nuffers fell below 1000 for the second consecutive round, so would be expecting to have been well short of the Chooks this week
