@YAD69 Heading into the final 1/9th and its the Cudas game to lose needing 137 points from Hawkins and JKolo tomorrow to take home the win Cow Bay 1185 / 15 / 79.0 Groote 1049 / 13 / 80.7
Ha, mistakenly marked Jack Graham as a playing mid! Revised score: Cow Bay 1185 / 15 / 79.0 Groote 1022 / 12 / 85.2 So 164 points needed from Hawkins, JKolo and Guthrie to take the win. It's your game to lose @YAD69
It's all over Red Rover at The Stadium with Nuytsland, who still have 2 players to take the field, completing a huge win over Banchang 13/1321 to all out 1199. The stars in the last period of play for the visitors were Petracca, Shuey and Viney with 141,130 and 118 respectively, while Lyons 147, did well in the middle for Banchang. Players who did well in the scratch match for the Barcrawlers were new boy Hamill with 96, Cameron 92 and Hibberd 84. All three will be pushing their claim for a starting spot in the 15. Nuytsland head to Christmas Island for their next match, while Banchang are off to King Island. @bryzza
Approaching the final whistle, @wrightbrendan ‘s Buffalos (1271/14/91) have powered away to an unassailable 328 point lead over a lacklustre Sandgropers (943/14/67) outfit. Keays, Merret, Ridley and May have all saluted in the second half for Serengeti whereas for the home side Crouch lasted less than a half and McGovern decided to stay home. Preseason recruit Bailey tried his hardest and ended up being the only Southern Cross player to score over 100. This’ll be 4 losses on the trot for the Sandgropers; the wheels have officially fallen off. A full review of the club and it’s operations will be undertaken in the post season as the clubs owners search for answers as to what happened to a season that started so full of promise. Go ‘Gropers!
Update from the 'rat sees this one going down to the wire! @insider AA 770/11/70 + Ryan, Stewart, Brayshaw & Miers SFB 1008/13/77.5 + Lobb & Mundy
Monday morning update from South Australia, and its the visiting Coolgardie Prospectors who have obliterated the local Blanchetown Bunyips @martyg The 'yips have had a major case of, returning to the sheds with a paltry 810 points. The Prospectors have struck gold, with 1,231 points on the board, and two more batsmen to step up to the plate. Blanchetown: 810 / 15 / 54 Coolgardie: 1,231 / 13 / 94.6 Clubhouse leaders are: J Sicily (164), T Miller (140), and S Walsh (140). Clubhouse loosers are: A Bonar and R Mathieson each on donuts. The only question is: can B Parfitt and J Aish put on 270 points between them, giving the Prospectors their first ever 1,500 point score?

Hawkins (87) + JKolo (43) + Guthrie (90) = 220 Groote take home the 4 points with a 57 point win, 1185 to 1242. @YAD69 Match report to come
Full time at the Sandpit and @wrightbrendan ‘s Buffalos have run away with a 268 point win over the Sandgropers. Mitch Duncan (148) was the last man standing for the home team but his efforts were in vain. So much so that Dangerfield (88) decided to take it easy and rest up for next week. Six Serengeti tonnes to two tells part of the story and when delving further, with over half of the Buffalos comfortably out scoring their YTD averages, the win was built on a great team performance. With this loss being the 4th in a row for the Sandgropers, locals have started calling for the coaches head. The owners are prepared to play out the season, but they’ve put the board, coach and players on notice. If the team can’t improve, a relocation and rebuild are rumoured to be on the cards. Go ‘Gropers!
Round 8: Ararat Armadillos vs Staghorn Flat Bulls Another week of drama in this emotional roller coaster of 2020 as the Bulls came fired up and ready to charge. The visitors were solid without being spectacular, with the exception of McCluggage (131) who shone in the midfield. Some Staghornians lowered their colours however, with the two Lynch's only combining for 80, Derek (drop the surname buddy it's a nightmare) not backing up his first game with a meek 45, Brayshaw (3rd in the Brownlow last year?!?!??!) 49 and Lobb chipping in (mild golf reference anyone?) with 34. Whitfield (116) finally pulled his finger out and Mundy (104) turned back the clock to set an overall competitive target of 1146. The home side, rocked by further injuries prior to cutoff, also couldnt help but pickup another couple of passengers. Rich (22) pinged a hammy, Miers (34) didnt like the wet weather and the two new recruits Hannan (23) and Taylor (37) put in their worst performances of the year while they tried to adapt to a new gameplan. The People's Beard saved the day as usual with a lazy 157 and the dockers contingent snuck the Armadillos over the line. Brayshaw (136) and Ryan (118) copped the gatorade shower after the game as the locals celebrated a famous win: AA 1147 defeated SFB 1146 @tyze1
At 2/9th time in the round 9 clash between Coolgardie and Staghorn Flat and there's a major controversy brewing. @tyze1 It what the locals consider an illegal move, the visiting coach has put Harley Bennell's name on the playing list, while he's in quarantine lockdown, thus allowing the Bulls to take advantage of emergency Tom Lynch's warm-up stats. The locals are busily dusting off the rule books to see what they can do here. In the meantime the Prospectors have gotten off to a positive start at 237 / 2 / 118.5 The Bulls are either 261 / 3 / 87.0 or 261 / 4 / 65.2 or 358 / 4 / 89.5
The Barracuda's have moved to 1,283/13 98.7 to the @Tomster Grenades who are now on 1,079/12 89.9 The home side have Phillips and Mihocek to come whilst the visitors have Wilson, Witts & WHE.
@DamoH Still Smugglers game to lose, having no cover on interchange may hurt. Can Grundy go HUGE and steal this victory? NV 975/11/88 CIS 1304/15/86
cheers mate - I have the Smugglers all done on 1433 but there have been so many positional changes who knows!
