It is the elephant in the room isn't it... seems no-one wants to talk about how we get a complete season. It's hard to imagine we can play it any other way than awarding it to the highest point scorer for the whole season, either that or whoever is on top of the ladder. If option B, I am more than happy to just call the season early and award it to the Bullfrogs now Normally we don't play through the byes, yet we have at least one week coming up where there are 4 teams out... who knows what's to come, how do we score from here?
"Damn the Torpedoes" - I am all for plowing on. However, I am far from convinced that TS will be able to cope with the continuous schedule of games. Hell, I am not sure how SC will cope, so it is definitely not a criticism of our leader and benefactor. I reckon there may be higher priorities than the afl for many Vics. ORFFL's laissez-faire approach does not seem conducive to a rigorous approach to discussion of issues frequent updates of teams. However, let's burst into the draft on Monday morning. In a first I've cancelled my bridge game on Tuesday evening in the hope that we can make some progress. Remember, de-lists by 8pm AEST Sunday evening so Len has time to work his magic.
Definitely getting harder by the day it would seem! I still like the philosophy just smashing out games/rounds and see where we end up. Byes do need to be addressed, based on conversation I've had in other leagues pretty much the easiest option is to just leave everything as is, and if there are 0's to be had then its just unlucky. Any other scoring mechanism change is a lot of work for Walesy.
@walesy , having difficulty submitting the glamas team for round 9. There are three boxes in the Interchange section - one for an Interchange selection and two for emergencies. Similarly, there are only four boxes for F with one of those an Emergency. The D, M and R sections are fine. BTW,, the ORFFA team submission page is fine.
@graeme I think if you go Clear Team at the bottom it will reset back to normal, happens when you delist someone that was in your starting lineup the week before
I have taken it upon myself to set lockout to last game, will do so for the next 4 rounds unless someone has any strong objections
Yeah Len was about to do the same thing. Neatest solution Also need to check the 0 scores counting as player's not playing. Think there was one last round
I wondered about that, Darcy Tucker got the donut which resulted in Josh Bruce's whopping 41 being included in the Bullfrogs score...shocker of a weekend all round.
There have been times this year when the glamas would have been delighted to have a "whopping 41" as a player's score.
THE BYES ROUND 10: Carlton, Hawthorn, Fremantle, West Coast ROUND 11: Sydney, GWS THE LOCKOUTS Last match of R9: Sunday August 2, 6.10pm (Fremantle v Collingwood) First match of R10: Monday August 3, 7.10pm (Port Adelaide v Western Bulldogs) Last match of R10: Friday August 7, 7.50pm (Essendon v GWS) First match of R11: Saturday August 8, 4.35pm (Port Adelaide v Richmond) Last match of R11: Wednesday, August 12, 7.10pm (Gold Coast v Essendon) First match of R12: Thursday, August 13 (Sydney v GWS)
Funny how the commentators were applauding the team selections yesterday - just because they won.... against a team that has now lost 12 games in a row!!! They should’ve won regardless of team selection!
all the bye players are currently locked, someone will fix this shortly as they aren't supposed to be locked till the round starts...
