Hi @Gumby, i'll just add that it is dependent on when walesy runs his updates. Team changes for round 12 are dependent on round 11 being completed and TS updated. The big fella has been fantastic so far and I don't think he'll drop his standards.
Got tonights date set for rollover. Will make sure I've got it rolled over before I go to bed tonight.
Walesy truly is a legend. This is the last of the funny stuff, yeah? Rd 13 will be back to normal if my side-eye at the fixtures is correct.
so a lock out at the start of Fridays game then.... 820 for the Bullfrogs and soundly beaten this week... quite possibly a lifetime low for the club...
Correct that walesy is a legend - brilliant performances. My reading of the fixture list is that there is still a frantic footy every day period to come as many teams have not as yet had a bye. But, for now a round (or more) that looks like normality.
Of course. It makes no sense really that they haven't pushed the other byes sooner than later. I couldn't care less for them but MEL/ESS are going to the short end of the stick. They didn't even give COL/GEE a bye before. Always going to be a weird season, just making it weirder.
Hey guys, left field idea with the 6 team bye coming up has anyone considered a supplemental draft of say 2 or 3 players to top up (just for this year) or are we happy to just wear whatever cards we have been dealt?
Unless we can get all involved (not everyone did the MSD) I think there's too much inertia here to do anything but go in with our eyes closed and see where things fall after.
Yeah you're right and given some teams have already had adverse impacts from the prior byes it probably wouldn't be fair to them
I love trading and drafting as much as the next guy, but I just can't see how a supplemental draft without full participation could be equitable. You could call it a "spotty" idea.
Has anyone checked the ladder recently? must be one of the closest season we've ever had - a shame its not a normal season
It just struck we: we are about to have a round savaged by byes (round 15) and then later we are going to have a full fixture round (round 18) when we do not play. Would it be wrong to skip the round 15 match-ups and move the last three rounds back one round? At least we would have some competition in the last week, rather than having the year possibly decided in a round when 6 AFL clubs have a bye. Thaoughts, We would need to act quickly as round 16 starts on Monday (?).
The only negative to this is it disadvantages the teams least affected by Round 15... they will have worn the brunt of the other byes already. Personally I’m screwed when Richmond have their bye, but cant do nothin’ bout that!
If I am to understand this correctly, the proposal is that we have a bye (do not play) in R15 and play in R18 instead?
There is no 100% answer that's for sure.. Given we have no agreed way to determine a winner it's a moot point
Yup this is me too, only two best 15 with the bye R15 however basically missing my whole backline for R16, but that's the compromised year I guess.
