Isn't this one of those beautiful situations where the free market has a better solution than further legislation?

For example, if Mick and I agree to trade 39 for my future 4th rounder, then why wouldn't I chuck in pick 76 also?

I don't need 76 after receiving 39 and then there's no concern about when Mick's extra pick sits as he's received a live pick.

Well said. Except for the 4th round part ;)

39 is only 3 picks on from the 2nd round so I’d be looking for at least a 3rd rounder for it :thumbsu:

I thought it was clearly stated that all trades during the draft need to be equal. Player for player or pick for pick. One player for two picks is not an equal trade

I'm also contemplating taking an extra pick or 2 in this draft so let me know if you would like to add Redman, Bewley or Buddy! to your list.

    Cheers

How? Your picks are now dead ....... player for player means you can not take any more picks

WTF is wrong with you guys? Think outside the box. If someone has a 1 or 2 picks left, isn’t sure who to take / CBF / likes the players I offered up more than anyone left in the free agent pool then we make a deal. I can’t draw pictures for you on here unfortunately

Korumburra's Pick 39 is still a live pick, so why can't he trade a player for another pick as long as that pick coming in, is a live pick.
If he trades a player out, he has 26 players and with #39 and a live pick coming in, he has the 2 picks needed to go to 28 players.

And the other player is getting a player for one of his live picks, so all equal there.

    @Mick
I think what responders are getting at, is that in this draft, right now with the active picks that are available all team must have 28 players on their list. So if you trade 39 you must get either a player or an active pick in this draft. If you're short a player the other coach must have either an extra pick, so conclusion the coach trades it to you.

So is this ok to do guys or not? Can you trade a player for a live pick? Or does it have to be player for player, pick for pick?

Serengeti traded #34 and 1st Rd 2021 MSD to Staghorn Flat for Harry Cunningham yesterday and it was allowed.

    The only live picks remaining are yours at 62 then 63 66 70 76 84 and 88.

Mick can send you a player for one of your live picks. This is essentially the same as you drafting who he wants and trading said player for one of his players.

The main issue was trading for a live pick for a future pick on the premise that he could fill his list spot by adding another pick to the back end of the draft.

Pick 62 will be in soon. Waiting for something else to be finalised which affects that pick.

    Introducing Damo’s Delistment Service (DDS)

Here at DDS we understand that coaches don’t always get delistments right, hell we’ve still got Aaron Hall on our list, so we’re living proof that not everyone who deserves to be delisted is.

    So, how does it work?

DDS operates under a simple 3 stage process:

    1. Identify your spud and send him to Christmas Island.

    2. Use pick 76 to select someone shiny, new and better than your current list clogger.

    3. Live happily ever after.

That sounds great, what does it cost?

Practically nothing, DDS takes payment in future 2021 MSD or 2022 PSD picks, and they’re so far in the future you won’t ever miss them.

So don’t hesitate, PM DDS today!

    Wow, DDS sounds AWESOME!!!!

But the ad says 'practically nothing'. Does this mean that there are hidden fees and charges?
