@bryzza cheers coach, the Cuda's were on this week and we are absolutely over the moon with our post draft trade in, the minute we snag him the cheers squad have been singing "Oh Errol, I would do anything, just to be like him"
Round 2 saw the Bunyips host the Whalers with new coach @Len making his first trip to Blanchetown. Unfortunately, half of the team forgot about game day and instead continue to drown their sorrows at the pub. Final Score: Eden Whalers1059 Def Bunyips 873. Highlights: ROB continues to dominate the ruck going 2-0 with a combined score of around 100, which shows he is just idling at the moment and working into the season. Dan Houston continues to impress posting a game high 156. Ex Bunyip and first player ever drafted, Pendles, wound the clock back with a handy 111 for the visitors. BOG: Houston - 3 Crisp - 2 Pendlebury - 1 Is it mid season draft yet or what?
Match report Rnd 2 at Pakenham v Horsham First home game of a new year for the Parasites and the home fans got all they payed for with this close tussle. It was a great battle with Pakenham squeaking over the line. Pakeham 1219 Horsham 1170 Top performers for Pakenham Butters 163, Cerra 120, Noah 119, Moore 118 and Lukosius 110 Whilst Horsham had Laird 121, Witts 115, Gresham 104 and Billings 101 all playing great games. But in the end a couple of lucky decisions and heads up plays got the home team over the line. The ruck battle was easily won by Witts 115 with Pakenham struggling to find a replacement for the big Row. BOG 3. Butters 2. Laird 1. Cerra Giant tap Witts 121 defeats King 33
At 1/9th time it's the home side, Cow Bay Crocs, holding a narrow lead over the visiting Blowflys. Jeremy Howe dominant down back for Korumburra early. COW 137 / 2 / 69 (nice - had to round up there ) v KB 122 / 1 / 122 @fresh
Progress score from The Stadium..... In the 1st game of the new season played at home, the visiting team from Pearcedale took a while to turn up at the ground, no doubt held up by Immigration at the Airport. The Barcrawlers took advantage of this dubious circumstance ( marvelous what a few thousand baht will do in the right hands) and raced to 2/205 with Lyons (139) following on from his first 2 rounds, outstanding once again. However once the Panthers took the field it was quite obvious they were here to play, and at the close of the latest phase, whilst Banchang increased their score to 9/738/82 with Greenwood (135) and Cunnington (92) in his 1st game, most prominent, Pearcedale had their own heroes, in Ellis (112), Smith (105) and Simpkin (83) to close the score to 6/440/73.3. Can the 6 Barcrawlers with a lead of 298 , hold off the 9 Panthers, and get their 2nd win of the season..... @ron swanson
Latest progress score...... The visiting Panthers have increased their score and sit at 11/835/75.9, after an inspired display from evergreen Luke Parker (120), ably supported by the big bloke in the middle,Toby N (103) who has comfortably taken care of Lycett (76) in the BIG TAP. However the locals also did reasonably well in this period, with Dawson (115) holding fort down back, and the ole master Robbie Gray (93) doing the same up front and are 14/1112/79.4 coming into the dying stages. It's all to play for with Banchang's Ed Langdon and a 277 lead, trying to hold off Conca, Davis, Tomlinson and Darcy, to secure the 4 points. @ron swanson
@Wolffy84 apologies did not think I was the home team two weeks in a row. Sort the scoring out in the morning
At 6/9ths of the game gone and it’s a nail-biter at the Dino Dome with the home team in front by 6 points, this will go down to the wire:- HPD 690/9/76 SFB 684/9/76
Round 2 saw Hughenden at home taking on the visiting Panthers. In a low scoring affair the visitors prevailed 1,134 to 1,079. A disappointing result for the Hughenden faithful after a solid win from the previous week. Hughenden again went into the game with no ruck and this was the main difference with Nankervis (77) to Berry (35) and a knee injury to Shiel with a 1/3 of the game to go. Only highlights for the home team was Oliver (133) and Mills (93) with too many passengers while the Panthers had Parker (104), Ellis (103) and new comer Campbell (118) showing the way. A win the Panthers needed to get their season kickstarted and Hughenden needs to regroup for next weeks home game. 3 Oliver -HPD 2 Campbell - PP 1 Parker - PP
No problems. I thought i would be the home team this week too. Thanks for the update. Will be horsham's highest score for a while with witts and gresham out long term.
Round 3 The Barracudas are on 819/10 81.to the Monarchs @Tylo on 600/9 66.7 It's an interesting tussle between these two teams, a couple of poor score on both sides and plenty of players to come.
It's all over at The Stadium with the Barcrawlers hanging on to defeat the Panthers 1223-1067. Pearcedale began the final stage with a very difficult task, trailing by 277, and their job wasn't made any easier, when defender Phil Davis limped off the field with a blown calf and only 13 to his name. Banchang's Langdon took advantage of the situation and amassed 111 and put the issue beyond doubt. BOG: 3. Lyons 139 (BB) 2. Greenwood 135 (BB) 1. Parker (120) (PEP) Next round sees Pearcedale return home to host Serengeti whilst Banchang plays at home again and hosts Groote Eyelandt. @ron swanson
Round 3 The Barracudas are on 928/11 84.4 to the Monarchs @Tylo on 843/13 64.8 Man, what kind of match is this? The weather has turned nasty here in Groote and it's playing havoc, especially for the visitors on the score board. For the home side to come, Kolo, Guthrie, Stanley & Hawkins and the visitors have O'Connor & Impey.
Late in the last quarter of a seesawing affair and the hometown Sandgropers 1177/13/91 are holding a slender lead over @insider ‘s Armadillos 1130/12/94. It’s Joel Selwood & Tom Phillips + 47 points for Southern Cross against Tom Stewart, Shaun Higgins & Chad Wingard. The bookies have the Armadillos as favourites and rightly so but this ones no formality just yet. Go Sandgropers!!!
