A bit harsh I reckon. I'd like to think it was just an error of judgement. But not for you to worry too much, he'll be up and firing in time to smash your "Big O" in the final H&A round, only of course if your bloke hasn't been ruled out with a broken fingernail...
@DamoH (I started this yesterday and got distracted) Battle of the cellar dwellers this week with both teams looking forward to the MSD and PSD already. Not everyone can be at the pointy end right? The Smuggler with the win 913 def Bunyips 864. Absolutely nothing exciting to write about, both teams not able to field full teams. BOG - Hall - 3 Crouch -2 Cameron 1 Big Tap goes to Pittonet.
Full Time at the Eden Den and the Barracudas won 1383 to 1102. It went pretty much like any top 4 side vs midtable side would go. We played well but not well enough to beat a top team. But that's an issue for the MSD I guess. BAFFU: Weitering 3, Bont 2, Hawkins 1. Big Tap: Ryder 95 def Casboult 32
Cow Bay 1,298 def by Serengeti 1,335 What was tipped to be an easy win for the Buff was anything but. The very small home crowd that entered through the turnstiles quickly turned into a large crowd over the first quarter and half time breaks when word got around that the Crocs were putting up a fight. But no matter how many vicious chants were yelled out at the opponents, it wasn't quite enough to lift the home side's spirits, ultimately going down by 37 points. Seeing as Cameron was traded for Witherden a few years back, the coach started young Alex on the goal kicker to give the home side something to cheer for. Cameron (137) won the contest quite easily, with Witherden (68) ending the match out of form and on the bench. It was a decent effort from most of the Crocs. 173cm tall Spargo (29) was put into the ruck, he was going to score shit anyway. But, Taranto (126) and Libba (126) won plenty of clearances, and De Goey (118) and Bolton (108) saw plenty of the ball and caused a few headaches for the opposing coach. Merrett (131), Parish (115), Kelly (111), and Keays (102) all had plenty of opportunity in the middle with a diminutive opposing ruck contesting tap outs. The 3 tall set up that included Dixon (100) and Daniher (91) worked well for @wrightbrendan and Sheed (119) also got in on the action off the bench. Big Tap Spargo (29) def by Phillips (87) BAFFU 3 Cameron, Serengeti, 137 2/1 Taranto & Libba, Cow Bay, 126 The match gave Serengeti their 4th win and moved into the top 8. The loss meant Cow Bay slipped to 15th. Next round Cow Bay hosts Blanchetown to see who can get a higher PSD pick. Serengeti hosts NKOTB Horsham.
Ahhhhhh, yeah I suppose that makes sense, thanks 'ol man @choppers I thought @fresh miss-spelt "knobs" and thought that was a bit harsh on @Wolffy84
@JPK knew that. He still has their poster on his wall * *Not that there's anything wrong with that (Jerry Seinfeld)
Would have taken me ages to figure out what NKOTB stood for. Fair to say you are referring to the coach and not the squad based on the average age of the team.
Lol! Cmon I'm an '82 baby, surely I'm around the same age as both of you! Maybe Milli Vanilli was more your thing back then?
Barcrawlers in quarantine also, yad wins. My useless team scoring half their averages, yads team of champs doubling their averages. Great week; the board is all fired
Barcrawlers are out of quarantine and have taken the lead against an injury ravaged Christmas Island 11/882/80.2 to 9/528/58.7.
Midway through the 3rd at the Graveyard and its the visiting Sandgropers (889/10/89) holding sway against @bryzza ‘s injury depleted Vikings (809/11/74), by a player and 80 points. Still a fair way to go, but it would take some kind of collapse for Southern Cross not to take the win. Go Sandgropers!!!
Not much to write home about in this one just yet. Buffaloes doing enough to stay ahead of the numerically disadvantaged Grenades Serengeti 571/82/7 v Horsham 404/51/8 @Wolffy84
