Thought I'd make a thread to discuss NBA stuff outside of fantasy. This is really interesting to see how the game has changed in terms of prevalence of 3 point shooting. 20 years ago, the median 3PA rate for PGs was 27% and it's now 36%. But for other positions outside of centre, it is far more stark - power forwards went from 2% to 41%! Link here
A special shout-out to @Lethal , who this week had the 3rd highest weekly score across all 3 of our leagues… but still lost !! Beaten by @Esther 1400.2 to 1403.1!
Another interesting thing I’ve just seen in Div 1, after just two rounds. @bgt2110 has more ‘points for’ than me, but has lost both games, and I’ve won both.
Thought I had done enough going into the final day with around 4 extra players and an injury cloud over LBJ but couldn’t quite manage to hold on. Oh well I will have to take out my frustration on the other Minetti this week
A very similar story happened this week too! @smokinjoemisiti in premier league scored the 3rd highest score across all 3 leagues, and lost! He scored 1516.9 to lose to @costak on 1545.1 and a huge shoutout to @Eggrobber who in Div2 scored a whopping 1619!! only other team to top 1500 was my mob
I’ll keep the “highest scoring loser” thing going. This week it was @headmandude in Div1 with a score of 1433. This was the 7th highest score across all leagues. Their opponent was me. I scored 1647 which was the highest score across all leagues. Others in between us were, in no particular order: @Rad_E_Cool @tasho @The Royals @Don_Cottagers & @Rev
The highest scoring loser this week was hotly contested between two teams within 3 points of each other, and they were the 7th & 8th highest scores across all 3 leagues. The winner was @The Royals in Div2 who scored 1416.6 losing by just 1 point against @Eggrobber ! Next in line was @tasho from Premier who scored 1413.7 to lose to @stowie on 1426.7 The highest score across all 3 leagues was by my team again, from Div1. They’re rolling at the moment! Scored 1593 this week. Next best was @HEAVER with 1443.3 from Premier. The other two high scores were by @Jet & @Rev . After 5 rounds, we’ve now played all the teams from our own conference. We now move onto playing each team from the other conference before we circle back to play all our own conference opponents for a 2nd time to finish our regular season. We’ve ended up with an undefeated team in all 6 conferences at this stage. There are only two winless teams across all 3 leagues.
Matchup 6 highest scoring loser this week was @Jasmine in Div2 with the 6th highest score overall, scoring 1329.3 to lose by 9.3 points to @Don_Cottagers 1338.6 the highest score of the week was 1562.6 by @Rad_E_Cool in Premier. Way ahead of 2nd place, @dabombers in Div1 with 1376.2 others to score more than Jasmine were @bgt2110 & @Sparks

Matchup 9 Highest scoring loser this week was in Div1: @Jet with 1312.5, which was the 3rd highest score of the week, but he lost to @bgt2110 on 1459.8, which was by far the highest score of the round!! The next highest score of the round was 1317.1 by @nicksnow in Premier Also remarkable this week were the very low winning scores, with 9 of the 18 games won with a score less than 1100, with the lowest winning score of 966.6 going to @Steve in Div 1, as he beat @headmandude by just 4 points.
Whilst I’m at it, I never did this for Matchup 1 Highest scoring loser in the first (short) week was @Daniel Sprigg in Div2 with 1123.2, losing to @Eggrobber who scored 1168.8 Highest score for the round was 1183.2 by @HEAVER in Premier.
Matchup 10 Highest scoring loser this week was @Esther in Div 1 with 1096.1, losing to @bgt2110 on 1142.2. Esther’s score was the 6th highest score across all leagues. Also, the 2nd highest scoring loser wasn’t far behind them, @smokinjoemisiti with 1094.8 in Premier. The highest score this week was 1230.8 by @Jasmine in Div2. @Rad_E_Cool , @HEAVER & @stowie were the other high scorers this week.
