Banchang and Serengeti have reached an agreement.

Banchang sends Scott Lycett, 2022 MSD Rd1 and 2023 PSD Rd1 to Serengeti and in return
Serengeti send 2022 PSD #9 and 2023 PSD CIS Rd2 (acquired in previous trade No8.) to Banchang.

Question for anyone who is here: do we need to extend the trade period because it has been rather quiet, give everyone a little more time to complete some deals, and even wait until Walesy has rolled over all the new players, or do we still just want to jump into the draft tomorrow?

I'm for starting the PSD tomorrow as per the post on 16th January, nearly 3 weeks ago...

After "special" requests, we'll move the Draft start date forward a couple of days:
    Thursday 3 February - Delistments
Friday 4 February - PSD Commences

I can never understand the rush to get into it every year. It's not like we ever come close to running out of time. Really don't get the logic behind it.

    because we’re TOOSERIOUS!!
Because we love it, miss it, enjoy the trading and speculation and banter. Because why not? Because everyone is going through other stuff in ‘real life’ but can turn to sports (and fantasy teams) for an outlet or distraction.
    because fun is fun!

I think the idea is that this way more valuable players slip through to the MSD

It's just as much fun in 2 weeks as it is now. The fun is not increased by doing it sooner, it's just over sooner. If you leave the presents under the tree they'll still be there on Christmas Day!

I'm starting to lean towards a later draft being better.
Having less "info available" is good for players getting through to the MSD, but I think that will always happen anyway.
Giving us a couple more weeks to trade, when we're all more into footy, I think is a good thing. Historically the majority of trades have occurred prior to the draft.
