2022 ORFFF PSD and Topup Draft Banter and discussion

Hi folks, about to head into the theatre to watch the new Batman flick, as such if my turn at #84 comes up tonight please note I am likely to be offline until late tonight or first thing tomorrow morning.

 

I don’t think this was stated anywhere that the topup players had to have played a game before. Did I miss something?

I haven’t picked any rookies yet and was intending to do so in the topup draft.

 

It was mentioned at the time. I will look and see if I can find it.

Having read the original advice carefully it specifies that only players from the delisted thread are eligible.

Presumably we can compare the delisted thread to the draft thread and make sure there are 32 delisted players still available?

 

For me I don't think it makes much sense to restrict to just delisted players. My preference would just be to have no restriction (if coaches want to cop 0's by picking rookies, that's their prerogative I don't see any real lasting advantage from abusing that).

If there is a restriction at least no first year players or players only that have played a senior game is clear cut. The delist thread doesn't even have all the delistings posted I'm pretty sure so there's some level of admin required there. What about delistings from 2020 or previous are they included? Just seems messy.

 

If "delisted " is not just a typo or miscommunication then that's an incredibly small pool of players to pick from. Its 32 players to select from a pool of 96 minus whoever's already been taken. New thread says those that have already debuted already, which is a different list of players

I had planned to draft at least one rookie with these last two topup picks, but I think we should proceed as planned. It’s my own fault for not reading the announcement properly at the time.

Really? Im confused. I thought it was only just confirmed as being only delisted players.

I think it was just clarification needed, no pushback on whatever the admins decided.
