ORFFA Round 12 (AFL Round 15)

    Round 12 - Regrets Round

Old Blue Eyes himself sung about regrets, and that he'd perhaps had a few. Those who might've crossed Mr Sinatra may have had a few regrets themselves, but that's another story.

This round is dedicated to the regrets we ORFFA coaches may have had when it comes to past list choices. Most particularly, immediate past delisting of spuds and drafting of a new cohort of lovable spuds in the mid-season draft.

To continue the musical theme, we paraphrase that whacky bunch of Queensland musical chameleons Regurgitator - "I like my old spuds better than my new spuds". Sincere hopes to all that the regrets are very few, and your new spuds in fact prove far move lovable than your old ones.

Foul Bay Chickens v Gundagai Grasshoppers
Lovely Banks Lilacs v Wagga Wagga Wombats
    Gariwerd Cockatoos v Waikikamoocow Incorrigibles
Nareewillock Nuffers v Iron Knob Codpieces
Venus Bay Vultures v Larrikin Lagoon Lefties
Charlies Opening Spelunkers v Dunsborough Dung Beetles
Mount Beauty Uglies v Cradle Mountain Devils
Whitsunday Warriors v Marble Bar Misfits
Wineglass Bay Packers v Birdsville Battlers

The remainder of the ORFFA season fixture will be posted, with appropriate and inappropriate themes - before the commencement of Round 13. This is the closest we'll ever come to a floating fixture (short of setting our remaining fixture of games adrift on a raft ... which, come to think of it, may be advisable for my mob).

Likely cows to engage with the Cockies; it is so tempting to play Michael Frederick to let @anthak see what he just missed out on in the MSD. But that would be puerile, right?
    D - R Burton, N Newman, R Bonner, K Coleman 87, (M O'Connor)
    M - B Crouch, D Prestia, N Fyfe, T Mitchell (L O'Brien)
    R - R O'Brien
    F - J Dunkley, B Close, J Finlayson, M Frederick (T Papley)
    I/C - T Sparrow 90, S Menegola (B Williams)

    Best of luck ant

edit - got a couple of picks wrong

The cows seem to have dried off early in the season. Things were not looking good, and then Dion Prestia got cleaned up by a low life cat. Not even worth adding the scores up.

    We are amused.

Sitting in a hospital bed and we have a little spread sheet thingy to keep track of scores, player ratings, etc. Without fail, all the nurses are convinced I am some sort of high financier keeping tabs on the stock market, moving my shares around in between changing drips and bandages. Of course I told them the truth. Of course I did. If only I had Bandit here to tell them to get stuffed.

My mob ended up short a Roo up forward when it should've been Long a forward.

Sigh. Too much wordplay, not enough players.

At least a few of the MSD picks pulled their weight.
