Hey Boss @JPK I think it should be:

    15. Groote Eylandt (score of 1,242)
    16. King Island (score of 1,270)

How about that, you are correct.
I thought it was based on end of season rankings, but after reading the rules (6A) the fishy coach is correct, and it is infact on semi-final scores, and thus Groote Eylandt get pick 15 and King Island get pick 16.

Hey @YAD69, I think I'm missing a second first rounder

    2022 MSD R2 (HPD)
    7. Korumburra sends Noah Balta, 2023 PSD R1 (KB) and 2023 PSD R3 (KB) to Cow Bay for Alex Witherden and 2022 MSD 6

@fresh As mentioned in the first post of this thread I had only got up to trade 17 at PSD time, I will update this list for all the MSD trades that impact PSD 2023.

    Stay tuned.

Are we 100% locked into draft starting Monday? Personally, I wouldn't mind moving it until Monday 6th of March after the 1st round of Pre-Season games complete.

The idea has always been to have the draft complete before the pre-season matches start - so that we all get an even (as much as possible) chance to do research etc, and not have games happening in the background that could influence decisions made by some coaches as to who to pick because of a particular players performance (ie information that wasn't available to all coaches).

Having said that, the AFL pre-season this year appears to be intra-club "training and practice matches" and one single game each against another AFL side - so I'm not completely adverse to the idea of pushing the start of our draft.
How about a thumbs up to start on Monday 13 Feb, or a thumbs down to start later (maybe Monday 6 March).

    I'm happy with 13th Feb.

If the date for starting is pushed back, then all players delisted after your announcement on 1st Feb that the start time would be 13th Feb, should be able to be re-instated if their Coach chooses, as the decision to de-list could have been made with the current start time in mind.
    I'm not one of those.

I'm not too fussed either way, but that's probably because I've been communicating and trading with other coaches over the off-season. This is more of a concern for me:
    PSD Trades By Season
    upload_2023-2-9_13-9-52.png

The number of trades we are seeing each PSD has fallen quite a bit. I know and agree with us having an off-season, but it feels like coaches are not being 'active' with their teams until later than previously and as such trading is decreasing.

I'm in favour of setting a draft date that sees us get back to 25-30 trades before the PSD, but that's only likely to happen if we see more coaches posting their available players or picks in the draft thread, and being 'active' in the trading process.

I am happy to keep it as is, noting what @choppers stated above. I don't want to rock the boat!

Well pointed out, I can only speculate as to why trades have dropped off.....my two cents.
We brought in a rule as we had to use 4 PSD draft picks to help with list turn over , but this did not include trades ..... We saw the decline and rectified I think last year?

Including myself there are only a handful of heavy hitters in the trades department from memory @fresh has a table with who has most trades

Lastly the league has become more competitive not just top 4 Vs rest and this might lead to less trades as coaches may be more inclined to keep players
