Welcome back everyone! While I am not necessarily putting my hand up to be the Commish, it thought it would be good to have a schedule of relevant deadlines, etc set out at the start of the year to avoid the MSD issues of 2022! Note UPDATED TIMELINE 2023 PSD Trade Period - now to Thursday Feb 16th 9pm AEDT ****NOW FEB 23 2023 Delistment Deadline (back to 20 or less - Old School!) - Sunday Feb 19th 9pm AEDT ****NOW FEB 26 2023 PSD - Monday Feb 20th 0:00AM AEDT till finished ****NOW FEB 27 - 6am 2023 Post season Trade Period - End of draft to Tuesday 14 March 2023 9pm AEDT 2023 MSD Delistment Deadline - Sun June 18th 9pm AEST 2023 MSD - Monday 19th June 0:00AM AEST till finished The season starts on 16th March so the proposed timeline allows 23 days for the draft to take place (min 108 picks so 5 a day average). In the chat below I will drop for discussion the draft rules. The AFL have made 24 rounds in 2023 with 4 of those having teams with byes (Round 12 to 15). The MSD proposed date is at the start of the 3rd week of the bye period). Each team should be able to play each other once with 8 teams qualifying for the finals with 3 rounds of knockout matches.
Draft Rules Picks take place between 6am EADT and midnight AEDT 12 hours to pick (clock stops with the night time break), if a pick is missed we can do default player based on prior year average or carry forward the pick till the coach is next online - my preference is the second If the person is still AWOL when their next pick comes up, same rule as chosen above will automatically apply At draft end if their is a coach who has not appeared, picks will be made on a needs basis (DEF, MID, RUC, FWD) based on prior year average to fill out the team - unless a temp coach is happy to fill in (hopefully not required!) I see other TS comps have 6 hour pick windows, I would be ok with that too if that is what people wanted.
I'm good with 6 hours...but i am flying to Sydney for work draft start day, and will be bloody busy that week. I think Len has my mobile number and used to SMS me lol which would be cool to continue if he is ok with it Also, Monday is the 20th of Feb...

Okay, didn't realize this is suddenly upon me. FL used to be so laid back and I thought we might get to see some of the talent in practice matches before a PSD. My bad. Delists will follow.
Trade Alert !!! Ivanhoe Trade Nankervis and 2023 PSD round 1 and 2 picks For: Warburtons Pruess, Holland and Ugle Hagan and 2023 PSD 3rd round pick
Trade alert: Queenstown trade Aaron Hall to Woy Woy for their 3rd round PSD pick. The change in climate will do him wonders I'm sure.
Welcome back mate, unfortunately the pre season has changed and the season proper starts in 22 days! Would love to wait longer but we have to have enough time to get the draft in.
