ORFFA Round 4 (AFL Round 4) - Terry's Round This weekend we pay our respects again to our friend Terry. It has been a year since his passing - give or take a day - and each day our community here at TooSerious and across the ORFFs and leagues miss him. Fittingly the ORFFA premiership cup is now in Terry's name, and many of us now provide a home to a former Whitsunday Warrior player following our dispersal draft. We miss you Terry. The management of the cows have decided to play this weeks home game against the cavemen in the Whitsundays in honour of TiB. We will be based in The Tiki Bar; all former staff, including Rebecca, have volunteered to provide their services free of charge. Home supporters who cannot attend the revised venue are advised that for the upcoming weekend we have decided to temporarily change the name of the Bulls Hit Tavern to the Tiki Bar. A supply of small umbrellas has been acquired, albeit they look a bit odd in a decent sized glass of pinot noir which, fittingly, was one of TiB's favourite tipples. Although some have hinted, a bit harshly perhaps, that what ever TiB was drinking at the time was his favourite tipple.
The Spelunkers are looking forward to putting on their alternate strip for this weekends match against the cows. The limited edition commemorative jumper has a distinct island feel, with images of frangipani's and hibiscus the main feature. Our run through will have a Haiku to Terry on one side, and a respectfully meant 'Get Stuffed' on the other Provisional team, desperately waiting for the Hawks lineup to be announced so I can make a decision on Meek vs Jackson in the ruck
Lefties honouring our die hard Port mate by painting our squad as teal as possible. Are some of them playing? Nope. Do we care? Nope. Do we have options? Unfortunately, also nope. Def - Burgoyne, Wilmot, Hardwick, Perryman (Bowes) Mid - Acres, Anderson, Bonner, Simpkin (Clark) Ruck - Xerri Fwd - Georgiades, Jordon, MacKenzie, MacDonald (Powell-Pepper) IC - Rioli, Hill (Sinn)
To the man that recruited me to ORFFA, named my team, located me to tuckerbox land, miss ya buddy. Many beers will be drank (need an excuse) to you TiB. Cheers mate !! ((Tried to find my prose/masterpiece/blathering spiel that I wrote last year so I could read it again but can't find it, if anyone can point me in the right direction would be appreciated))
Similar to my learned colleague from the Lagoon, the Nuffers are going to get some Teal players out on the park for a run this weekend in honour of Terry. Regrettably we also forgot Brisbane were playing early this arvo and left Charlie Cameron on field. Ooops. Anyway - Def: Redman, Richards, Idun, Clark (Zerk-Thatcher) Mid: Gulden, Serong, Rowell, Warner Ruck: Soldo Fwd: Marshall, Cameron, Langford, Daniels (Bedford) I/C: Ross, Horne-Francis (West)

@chris88 If you're wondering what in the teal blazes happened to the Essendon Edge last night, I am happy to report the DungBeetles have stolen it! Up and about! The coleopteras have a pulse!
Good to get a win on the board! Life update, broke my leg in a practice match for footy the other week, finally had surgery today. So even though it’s unrelated I’m going to blame the Vultures slow start on that… haha
Thanks guys, No plaster actually I think due to the placement, was a break right at the knee, “depressed tibial plateau fracture”, so I was in a full length leg brace pre surgery but now just a compression sleeve for the swelling and they want me to start trying to get some flex in the knee again. No weight bearing for 6 weeks though and remain on crutches after that while slowly build weight into it.
Season over I'd say, will take a while to be back on my feet and then getting the strength back in that leg after months of no use will take some time too - an injury like this makes me second guess playing as well but we'll see if that's the same line of thought a few months further down the line haha
I'd like to foreshadow discussion of a new rule - the Anti Chris Scott Rule. When Geelong makes a "late change" then the ORFFA team(s) holding the players involved are themselves allowed a late change(s). Notice before first bounce of the game to be sent to the Commish who is charged with amending the team(s) when practical.
