Its great to see so many have already recommitted to play again this year and we havent even prompted people through ESPN yet, but I will do that tonight so hopefully we get a few more. This is how the leagues look after last season's promotions and relegations (teams in bold have already recommitted for this season): Premier: tasho, HEAVER, crossy, stowie, Rad_E_Cool, dmandrews, nicksnow, bgt2110, Esther, karlos, Bearfly, Jay Sumz. Div 1: Sparks, anthak, The Royals, James84, KAT4MVP, InVossWeTrust, churchboy, costak, Danners, Jasmine, dudbloke, Lethal Div 2: Jet, uniao, tyze1, Lano24, Nate Raymond, Jacob Doole, Kaleb, Don_Cottagers, Stephan616, headmandude, Eggrobber, Len. It has been suggested that we reverse the draft orders from round 3 onwards. I think its a good idea, and I can facilitate it, but we'll do a vote so let us know in the poll if you want this to happen. The idea of this is because the top few players score A LOT, and it makes having one of the top 5 or so picks a very large advantage, even with a snake draft. After the top-5 or so picks, the average scores of players level out a lot more. Switching the draft order from round 3 onwards balances things out a bit, but the high drafters still have an advantage overall. Here is some info that tasho has added below:
I am hoping the votes start to swing because the first round of the draft is not fair. Just for some numbers. Two seasons ago, the top player averaged 63 and the 12th player 46. The 13th player 46 and the 24th 42. By picking at 12 you just lost 13 points per game because you were unlucky enough to be picking at the end of the first round. Last season the top player averaged 76 (unlikely to repeat so lets look at second who averaged 66). The 12th player averaged 49.6 (and two of these players are missing the season, Hali was 13th). The 13th player averaged 49.4 and the 24th 46.4. Picking at 12 you just lost 13.4 points per game. The drop off from the start of round 3 to the end of round 3 is in the range of 2-3 points. So even with a reversal the team picking at 1 is still at an advantage. It has just helped to balance it a little bit. Otherwise picking at the end of the first round you are hoping those at the top are bad drafters or get injuries, because otherwise you lost 1000 points over the course of the season before it started and can't catch it up.
Hi mate, yes we did and the lists in the OP already include the changes. Here are all the promotions and relegations listed: http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/results-of-24-25-ts-fantasy-nba-season.91865/
