I'm putting Sydneysider Riley Bice up for auction. 25 year old defender, at the beginning of his prime years. Has played every game this season, scoring <70 just twice and >100 three times, including a whopping 127 last game! Currently averaging 82.9 per game which puts him in roughly 12 of 16 ORFFF teams' starting back-4. In exchange I'm hoping for a good young player roughly about 20 years old, or a decent draft pick. The auction will close at 9:30pm AEST on Wednesday 3rd June. This timing will allow for Bice to line up for his new team in the next ORFFF game during AFL round 13. All offers are welcome, and I’ll try to be prompt in advising if offers meet reserve.
This bid unfortunately doesn't meet reserve. I'd rather keep Bice. I already have 5 picks in the first 3 rounds of the 2027 PSD, so a 4th round pick doesn't interest me too much, except as a trade asset, and in that case would rather keep Bice. Thanks anyway. I would consider an improved bid
I am surprised there isnt more interest in Bice. He'd be a perfect fit for lots of teams. I thought particularly @stowie @That KI Guy or @Darran might be bidders.
I think the fact Bice outside his spike 127, 6 of his last 8 scores are below 75 with one 86, means he doesn’t add too much. But I’ll try to get this auction with an accepted bid to get it running. Boozers offer our 2027 4th round PSD pick plus 21yo ruck/fwd Hudson Okeefe.
Thanks Leematty. This is very close, but doesn’t quite meet reserve. I reckon if Okeefe was a little younger or a genuine ruck I’d probably take a chance on him. But seems like he’s trending towards becoming a key forward, and hasn’t exactly set the world on fire.
Sorry, also doesn’t meet reserve. He’s older than Bice, and not even playing as well as Bice. I’d rather keep Bice, even for the long term.
Ok so one last try. You said Okeefe and 4th round was very close. how about Okeefe, Reidy and our 2027 4th round PSD.
Sorry for delay, I got stuck at work until now. I can't do that. I'd only be looking to trade Reidy and the pick, and I'm not keen on giving O'Keefe a go. I'd rather keep Bice.
Sorry, all these bids are close and I was close to accepting some, but I really thought Bice would be more valuable than this. Maybe I'll get a better return at the end of the season
