No Berger and the carnage begins

Pendles won't play
3. Tomster
Tomster
Smith, Pendles, Bont all named despite question marks all week. Good news I guess, although it would have been nice to have Pendles out so the Saints can win 2 in a row :p

I've got Lambert on my bench, and I see Krakouer has been named. My current rookie mids are: Ellis-Yolmen, Vandenberg, Heeney, Miller and Cripps.

I feel my only options are Van Berlo, and I prefer to wait and see on Krakouer like when he is on the bubble.

TU - Van Berlo
TD - Hold Lambert and wait a week or 2 and see how Krakouer goes

Is there anyone else worth looking at, or should I just take Van Berlo now before his prices rises?

FWIW I have done the Miller to NVB trade

Based on projections, I think NVB could get close to the $400k mark by the time of the Crows bye.

I expect Ah Chee to be the sub for Port on Saturday night. Will be interesting to see if Krak plays up forward or down back.

Not convinced Thommo will play from a north pov. I never normally trade a keeper, but cannon Mckenzie being dropped for Rd 2 does not inspire confidence. Could and should do nothing
TU Mckenzie to Newnes
TD Lamb to Lonie

Was just about set with Gaz - Sloane/Lewis and Goodes - Oxley. Then Berger is omitted! If I go with Sloane/Lewis can only go for Berger - Nicnat.

TU - Gaz - Sloane/Lewis & Berger - Nicnat

TD- Gaz - Bont & Berger - Mummy/Jacobs/Sandi

Thanks in advance

Ins, extended benches and emergencies seem to indicate some depth in defensive and forward rookies on the horizon but not as many around the guts at the moment

The cut to 22 for Sundays teams could be interesting with Goodes looking like he could be unlucky last

I will make up my mind on a Gazza to ????? trade early Saturday

Cripps back means I am comfortable with my mids, fingers crossed that Pendles runs out

Im going to be out of phone reception from about 3pm tomorrow, for the whole weekend. Ive set my team now, and will have my fingers crossed all weekend haha
spuing i wont even get to see final Sunday teams before Im out of range. but at least it isnt as bad as opening round as a lot of others had to deal with in same type of scenario.

it comes down to which ruckman you want - Nic Nat of course looks like serious value if you think he can stay fit

I've flicked Gaz for Swan (will move fwd next week) and upgraded Hamming to Rory Laird....

But it just doesn't feel quite right...

T/U - keep Swanny he'll be a top 10 fwd and Hamling is nowhere near a game
T/D - Gaz to Wines, Touk Miller to NVB?

Still no sign of Tom Lamb for the Eagles, not even in extended squad.

There's always that one rookie who plays one game and sits on your bench the entire season, looks like Lamby will be it!

What do we think? Cripps named in the centre of the park.

Actually he was put into the centre more often after half time in his first game. It's jsu tthat Carlton sucked. If he plays there most of the game i think he will do alright. Need the whole carlton team to lift though.

Miller really worth trading out?

I'm keeping both and even think I will leave Cripps as em. Both had a good preseason and will make money. Even if its not heaps it all helps!

I was going to trade Cripps to NVB, but as Cripps is back, I'll won't waste the trade. If the blues are rebuilding, hopefully Cripps will get plenty of game time. Now I just need to decide if I start Cripps or Heeney.

Cripps has saved me too... just trying to sort my benches. Is it possible to move Higgins from Def>Fwd; Deledio Fwd>Mid; and Saad Mid>Def?
I can't work it out...do I have to have the exact pairings to swap e.g. Fwd/Mid with Fwd/Mid?

Currently got Goddard and Hamling on back bench (probs being away pre R1!). Neither sighted even on emergency so far, so thinking Oxley in thi. Who to trade out (or comment if shouldn't pull the trigger)?

TU: Hamling
TD: Goddard
