Here we go people, Round 1 is upon us.

    Round 1 (AFL 1) 23/3 - 26/3
    Fantasy Footballers Anonymous Round

Placed in round 1 at the end of the most intense period in a fantasist's year. Raising awareness for the plight of those people (and their loved ones) who suffer from the rapidly emerging fantasy football addiction. Our version of the Gambler's Anonymous cards on the back of the toilet door at a Casino!

Get ya teams in here... we have an early game Thursday so a rolling lockout for the Thursday teams will apply.

I am quite confident that the Misfits could beat this team, alas I am sure the Cows will have 15 named by tomorrow..
Misfits official squad of almost awesome, with only the bolded player locked until Friday's bounce is:

    DEFENDER
Rory Laird, Zachary Williams, Jake Lloyd, Aliir Aliir -
    MIDFIELDER
Callan Ward, Josh Kelly, Daniel Rich, Marc Murphy -
    RUCK
    Patrick Ryder -
    FORWARD
Devon Smith, Caleb Daniel, Orazio Fantasia, Will Hoskin-Elliott -
    INTERCHANGE
    Luke Dunstan, Jack Hombsch -

(For a team with a hundred Fwds, that fwd line is seriously lacking)

Cradle Mountain Devils Round 1 team

    New: T Lynch (Crows)

    Def: M Hurley, N Vlastuin, Z Jones, L Spurr (S Gilbert)
    Mid: S Pendlebury, D Zorko, D Heppell, S Grigg (L Shiels)
    Ruc: T Nankervis
    Fwd: T Lynch, S Johnson, T Membrey, J Steele (T Boyd)
    Inter: D Zaharakis, J Gresham (J Redden)

Players in bold play on Thursday night.

Hurley and Heppell return for the Devils after their 2016 suspension, providing some much needed support for Zorko and Pendlebury. CMD are delighted to be back to full strength and hosting the Gariwerd Cockatoos in Round 1 of 2017 in a clash that over the first five years of the ORFFA could have been called the Mediocrity Cup. Maybe the name didn't catch on because we wouldn't have known if the winning team or losing team should have received the cup. The Cockatoos and Devils are both hoping that they have now graduated from their mediocre days and that two new teams can be engaged in a battle for the title of most mediocre team in the ORFFA for 2017 and beyond.

Yes, hoping, but ive hoped before and finished 9th.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it all unfolds, but at least we can get this one out of the way early DMA, and the loser can take the cup back home to spur them on for the season ahead :)

As the Cows have no blues nor tiges we can put off team selection for another day. Procrastination is an art form in Cow Country. Wish I shared your optimism about having 15 warm bodies to choose from Len. I feel a few oop selections coming on. Best of luck amigo.

Oops, thought the pies were playing but it is the blues. Still no (fit) players. I traded my last pie to you Len - what was his name?

Better Cows better life - What a load of BULLSHIT. If you lived in Melbourne I'd come around and slap you. Seriously considering catching a flight. You're lucky I broke my leg.

As a Blues feeder club, this year the Nuffers are fully expecting to emulate the parent team's wooden spoon this year.rftgggggggggggggggtrgf. The last bit was how my dog feels about it. He reckons I should follow the Dogs. Go figure.

I am completely unrepentant Andy. Pity about the broken leg - probably bad genetics (see below) - as I would have enjoyed a bit of aggro and a few beers.

The catchy phrase is from one of the genius whiz kids at our latest sponsor - LIC. They are big in AI; artificial insemination of dairy cows, not that bullshit artificial intelligence nonsense. I know you do not need it in your private life but in a few years when Fyfe "calves" are populating a whole Cows' team you'll understand.

Think the Blimps are playing Mt Beauty (aka, Richmond). A rather daunting first up assignment. So I'm guessing there's a few Thursday night players to be named!

For what it is worth -
    DEF: Rance (emg: Astbury)
    FWD: Edwards

I've weaned myself off my Richmond contingent/addiction.

The rest of the Blimps are still learning each others names given the off-season changes. Hopefully enough of them will be around so I can name a team tomorrow.

Not even R1 and Darcy Cameron injured, probably leaving us ruckless as well as clueless. Expect we will spend most of our time digging for pippies as we visit the Bay.

DEF: Johannisen, Suckling, Tarrant, Marchbank (H. Andrews)
MID: Wines, Boak, Isaac Smith, Barlow (Sam Gray)
    RUC: Currie (Cameron)
FWD: Jeremy Cameron, JJ Kennedy, Motlop, McCartin (Patton)
    I/C: Sam Gibson, Richard Douglas

If Murphy keeps that scoring rate up we'll give him his own jumper instead of making him run around in Kristian Jaksch'

Lefties luke-warm line up for round 1

Def - Haynes, Baguley, Duryea, Knight oop (Krak)
Mid - Ross, K Langford, W Langford, Phillips (Atley)
Ruck - A "wishful thinking" Smith
    Fwd - R Clarke, J Simpkin, L Weller, L McCarthy (Broomy)
    I/C - Taberner, Bugg (Berry)

Calling it now that this Investigator Strait sh!t-fight (vs the Chooks) will be more like a cr@p-shoot.
13 tepid bodies, a scattering of hail marys and an emergency contingent that might play in the next 3 months.

    This bed feels uncomfortable already...
